I have heard that many experience their water breaking at night and I'm curious what your experiences have been like. At 39w4d I am on extreme alert for all signs of water breaking/labor!

My water broke sometime around 4:45pm right after we got to the hospital. I had been in the waiting room about 5 minutes then taken to my room. My water broke in the bathroom as I went to pee while putting on my gown.

5am! I was back in bed after going to pee.

5:30 pm...just sitting at the table writing something...

1am I started having a slow trickle. At 9am I had the big gush as I was getting my epidural.

Lunch time. It was about 1, and thankfully it was after I chowed down! Lol

I think it was around 1 am. I was in the hospital and the nurse had just done a dose of cytotec in me and when she was done I felt a gush. The nurse said it was probably just the gel coming out, but when she checked it was my water!

4:50 pm!

Oh man my biggest fear is my water breaking at work! I know it doesn't come out in a huge gush, but it just makes me nervous! I guess I'd feel more comfortable starting labor at home so I could call in, or it starting with farther-apart contractions so that I had time to drive myself home or to the hospital. Water breaking at work just sounds hectic and terrible!

1:30am. It woke me up and I thought I'd peed on myself!

4ish am. Woke me up.

2pm, I was sitting on the couch working and leaned over to pick up a pen that I had dropped and I felt a giant POP and steady trickle. Mucus plug/bloody show happened about 2 hours before that.

Like 11pm. I was on my way to bed.

3:30am at 40w2d!

1:45 am Sat how to a pop! So much coming out I was glad I saved those poise pads.lol I got a sample and said just in case. it was soaked in the 10 min. drive to the hospital.ll

Around 1am as I was getting off the couch to go pee!

12:40 in the afternoon was my gush, standing up after eating lunch.
I think it started trickling before lunch (before 12) because on my way to the lunch room at work I thought I peed my pants a little.
This was at 38 weeks exactly to the day.

My ob broke mine at the hospital when I was around 5 cm dilated

The first time mine sprung a leak around 3pm and actually broke the next day. The second time, it broke at 5:09 am and it was indeed a big gush, I was 39w+4d!
