I'm hoping you guys might have some ideas for me. Little M turned 13 months this week and all of a sudden over the past week daycare drop-off has become a huge ordeal. He clings to me with a death grip and wails. It absolutely breaks my heart. Just two weeks ago he was content to squirm out of my arms and crawl off to play with his favorite toys. He's been going here since he was 12w old, is one of only 5 babies and is well cared for. He adores his daycare provider and her family - his fifth word was her son's name!

I understand that separation anxiety comes and goes as they get older, but I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to make this easier for the both of us. What should I do at drop-off? I stay and play for a few minutes, what else can I do? Please tell me I'm not the only one going through this!
