I wore a lot of yoga pants. When we went out I wore my maternity pants (sometimes with the panel folded down) or a skirt. Almost always with nursing tanks.

I just got them out last night to see what I had because I'd like to be pregnant again soon! I even bought 3-4 peices recently to add to my "collection" of PP outfits ...aka my fat clothes

I lived in yoga pants and nursing tanks (loved the ones from Target) for weeks after LO was born. We we went out, I would throw a v-neck t-shirt on over my tank top.

i had a couple of maternity tops that were nursing friendly and i wore them with maternity jeans for the longest time. also i had a big sweater with a neck that i could pull down to nurse and wore it over leggings - that was so comfortable! at home i had a nursing night gown that became like my uniform. or i just wore jogging pants/shorts and stretchy tanks.

@marionberry: I've been living in yoga pants and tank tops. I only bought one nursing tank, I'd recommend just buying some stretchy tanks/tops. For going out the first couple of weeks I wore maternity jeans, then I was able to fit into my old fat jeans lol

If you're just hanging out at home, any old shirt is fine, I wore a combo of maternity tees and tanks, nursing tanks, and a few pre-preg tees and tanks. A true nursing shirt is nice if you're out in public nursing since it typically gives you a little more coverage, but if you're on your own couch, who cares what's hanging out! You can also get more coverage by layering a nursing tank and regular shirt so one pulls up and one down. On bottom, I had a summer baby so I lived in gym shorts or two knee length jersey knit maternity skirts from Old Navy which made me feel a little less slobby when I went out running errands.

I wore maternity shirts and tanks for months plus yoga pants and athletic shorts. For "real clothes", I wore skirts and shorts one size up. Loft was having a big sale.

Not only was I bigger than I expected to be PP but I also had a bad tear which made comfort even more important. I wore (and still wear!) a lot of yoga pants or summery cotton skirts with an elastic waistband. For nursing I just got a bunch of inexpensive v-neck tops a size up (Old Navy is great for inexpensive PP/nursing/transitional pieces!)

loose fitting skirts, a nursing tank and a cardi (it was spring for me). I much preferred skirts because there was no crotch to rub and be generally uncomfortable, iykwim!. the skirt I had was a maternity skirt with a fold over waistband so I imagine it would even be alright after a csection?

yes!! the nursing tank + cardigan and jeans is a great combo too

i preferred the longer, thin cardigans with lots of extra fabric at the front draping down (what are they called?!) -- i liked wrapping the extra fabric around my belly when i was sitting down

those ballet type cardigans would be really pretty too! if you're having a fall baby that is

Not a clothing suggestion, but what really made my life easier at home was a few crib sized waterproof mattress pads. I had one on the couch and one in my bed so in case I had a leaking accident, I didn't have to worry about washing a ton of laundry.

I also had some cotton underwear from Hanes, I hated the mesh panties and I didn't care if these got wrecked, I just tossed them after 6 weeks.
