I thought Breaking Bad ended so well...that was a great last season!

I seriously can't think of any other show I watched continuously where I was totally satisfied with the ending.

off topic, but I was SO DISAPPOINTED with Lost's ending. I was expecting something more than (basically) it was all a dream...

I did not like Lost. Dexter was ehh. Desperate housewives was bad. If they didn't kill off Mike, I think I would have liked it.

Since I was just thinking about House from another thread, it reminded me that I thought that was a decent ending. I felt like they wrapped everything up and gave House his own version of a happy ending.

SO I'm probably pretty alone in this, but I thought the Sopranos ending was really well done. I know people wanted more certainty, but I think the episode was incredibly well crafted. Tony had been talking about his anxiety, and this constant feeling of dread even when things were going well. The feeling of unease that you are left with mimics his. There were also several references throughout the series to the idea that when its your time, you don't know it- you are just gone. I think they tried to give the viewer a small glimpse of what daily life was like for Tony and his family.

The end of The Wire was probably the single most depressing episode of television I've ever seen. I cried about it for days.

@Silva: oh my gosh! I was going to write, "I know I'm in the minority, but I liked the Sopranos ending." Silly how excited I got that someone else agrees. But I think it was the only way it could end. I read some guy's online dissertation about it and loved hearing others' thoughts.

I just watched the series this year. Binge watched and loved it.

@wonderstruck: I watched that show and the acting made me so angry. I could not stand the repetitive words in the same phrase/sentence. Fahhhh! I don't remember the ending, though. Was the last episode when the other pregnant girl rode into the hospital on a donkey? That made me make my WTF face.

@heartonastring: Since I was late to the Sopranos game, I think I had seen something that had given me a heads up about what was going to happen (which really wasn't a surprise). And my husband kept warning me that people really didn't like the ending. The only thing I didn't like was when Dr. Melfi gave him the boot. She was one of my favorite characters, and that felt abrupt to me.

It wasn't just the finale that was good--the entire last season was so depressing that I therefore felt prepared for it to end! The more I thought about the finale, the more convinced I was that it really couldn't have ended any other way. I also appreciated that it wasn't a gory, graphic scene.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Oh god, that part WAS horrible, but it wasn't the last episode. I thought the acting was decent at the beginning and we got sucked in...and then every season just got worse and worse- like really, how many times do you need to say sex in every episode? In the end they have Amy basically decide to just forget she has responsibilities as a parent and she starts acting totally out of character - dumps Ricky, leaves their son with him, and goes off to college with Ben on the other side of the country!!

@wonderstruck: no she does not! I definitely missed all that.

House, FNL, GG, & Friends. I liked all those.

@bunnylovesbear: ahh I cried so hard on the ending of Dawson's Creek. I love that Joey and Pacey ended up together but I hated that Jen died!

@heartonastring: @Silva: @Happygal: Yup, I like the Soprano's ending, too. I thought it was a great move on their part to just leave us guessing like that. That's how Tony lived his life. Now we get that a little bit.

I am going to be majorly in the minority here and say that I like the ending of Lost. It felt...peaceful...to me. I don't know. Hard to explain.

Friends, The O.C. (as cheesy as it may have been), Dawson's Creek. All good endings, I think.
