If it's not snowing, what type of shoes does your LO wear? I'm on the hunt for some shoes LO1 can wear in a few months that she can easily play in but look nice with most outfits and that are easy to put on. I may be asking too much though! I'm also curious what type of sandals are best for active kiddos, I don't want her to run and stub her toes but don't want her feet to sweat either.

She wears (and is obsessed with) her pink nike frees. I like that they are easy to get on and light weight.
No idea on sandals....it's -30 out today, summer seems so far away!

My DD wears Livie and Luca Pios... they are expensive... on sale for $39 right now on Amazon, but they go with everything, are comfortable, and hold up well. My LO has a lot of shoes and always chooses them (and can put them on herself). They have good resale value... they usually sell quickly on BST facebook boards for $20-30 used. She has also happily worn some See Kai Run shoes as well.
For sandals, she has has to wear closed toed shoes to daycare, so I got her a Pediped pair in a fisherman style with a closed toe. I like See Kai Run sandals as well.

Her most versatile are see kai run maryjanes. For summer I love saltwaters.

These are my favorite for her right now- See Kai Run Mary Janes and Nike's for the park, sandals from Saltwaters are my faves for summer.

White converse, pink rain boots, or brown uggs are her "every day" shoes. In summer, her every day shoes are saltwaters.

Hard to choose just one great shoe. Sandals for the summer, Saltwaters are hands down my fave and go with just about anything. For everyday play: Black Nike Frees and a couple of solid (silver) See Kai Run (skate-type shoe and mary-janes like @kimberlybee: posted).

She wears SKR sneakers to day care, pretty much every day. Saltwater sandals or flip flops in the summer on the weekends.

B wears chucks most days. He also has some moccs, some vans, and some boots. I recently bought him some Reef sandals but he haaaaaaaaates them.

Converse in the winter, keens as soon as it's warm enough. Keens are the absolute best - cool enough for the summer, but full sole support and protection. I hate seeing kids in unsupportive, thin shoes in the summer.

She's been wearing Nike Free sneakers since she learnt to walk, they were the only ones I could get on her easily, and then she started refusing to wear anything else. On a hot day she will wear birkenstocks or cheapy sandals for kicking about, and on cold days she will wear bobux chelsea boots.

Adidas sneakers when he's not wearing winter boots. I really loved his Keens last summer, but they get stinky.

@bao: as far as summer, Olivia's crocs were great last year! super easy to clean, comfy, breathable and closed toe.
for spring, I have no idea. she got a pair of toms for Christmas but right now when we go out, she wears her ugg style boots.

Right now she has stride rite boots that are flexible like sneakers but have a velcro top over the laces so they are easy on and she can't get them off!

Right now he wears a pair of Stride Rite sneakers every day. Kinderbliss was just having a big sale, so for the summer I got him a pair of sneakers, a pair of fisherman sandals (he has to have closed toes for daycare), and a pair of casual shoes - all Pediped. I usually buy Stride Rite or Pediped.

Right now we are still wearing ankle boots, it's cold/snowy out.
When it's nice at daycare she wears tennis shoes, in the summer we got Nike Sandals, never had any stubbed toes, and they were easy to adjust to fit her. We have daycare shoes and "weekend" shoes which are usually nicer sandals (when nice out) or ballet flat type shoes. She's so hard on them at daycare, that they need to be seperate.

Stride Rites for preschool. My parents got him some other shoes during the last visit. Right now, we're using hand me down Lands End boots and a Spiderman pair I picked out.

J is all about the Converse. Not super easy to put on or take off though - but so cute! And pretty comfortable.

I have a pair of silver SKR mary janes, two pairs of totally plain Stride Rite Mary Janes (one in plain black and one in plain red), and I have a pair of grey Bobux short boots--with those, LO is basically covered for every outfit.

LO is a shoe addict (so is her grandma who buys her shoes) so she has a lot of everyday pairs. Most days when it’s cold she wears purple Uggs (she has separate snow boots that stay at daycare). She also wears silver cowboy boots a bunch. She also has some Clarks mary-janes and ballet flats she wears a lot, and purple sparkly Converse sneakers.

LO liked her Natives for the summer and Stride Rite sneakers and Carter's boots for the winter. We had a few other kinds but they didn't seem to hold up and she didn't typically choose those.

My LO loves her Toms. She wears them everyday as long as there's no rain or snow.

We're loyal Stride Rite fans.... She just started walking in October and I'm convinced its because we went and got her fitted and sized. If you sign up for their rewards program and catch sales the prices arent to bad. right after christmas i got her 2 pairs for $40
