My lo has grown out of her coat. We don't get that many cold days here in NC but I'm looking for something. Should I just get her a zip-up hoodie or sweater?
What does your lo wear? Links or pictures would be awesome. 
I should add, I'm looking for something she can wear in her carseat, so it can't be too bulky.

We have a fleece zip up from The Children's place. It came attached to a puffer/quilted coat, but he obviously can't wear the coat in the carseat, so we took off the coat and now he wears the fleece. It does get cold here, but sounds like the fleece might be perfect for your weather.
He also has a knit pea coat from Gap that I love.

I got a jacket from Nordstrom (Little Me brand) and its light weight for her carseat and super cute.

A few zip up fleece jackets - other stuff was too bulkey for the car seat. He has a snowsuit for if we are actually spending any time outside. Oh one fleece is Columbia and the other is Children's Place. Someone gave us a puffy vest from Old Navy for Christmas but it's a little too chilly for that right now here.

I think a fleece or hoodie sounds ideal for your weather, and also layering underneath. We have a quarter zip fleece from ll bean that's awesome. She also has a warmer fleece lined coat from osh kosh.
