I haven't wanted to buy many baby things while TTC. But I haven't been able to resist two outfits. I've also bought some books that I loved as a child. I saw them in Goodwill and didn't want to pass them up in case I couldn't find them again. What about you?

I was too superstitious to buy anything while TTC. My friend bought one thing a month for her nursery while TTC.

I didn't! Too superstitious. I didn't buy anything besides a few CDs until 19 wks!

I havent. Even with my bfp i was afraid to too early (guess that was good). But i did do some mending to blankets that were mine as a baby

I haven't bought anything at all. I did buy a tote bag thinking it would be a good baby bag, but it's just a regular purse.

I didn't buy anything until I was half way through my pregnancy!

I plan on buying a t-shirt for either my husband or daughter the month we start trying in the spring to announce it to my husband when I get a BFP.

I bought a Baby on Board car sticker when I announced to my husband. I'm not sure if that counts though.
I haven't seen anything that really moves me to make a purchase. Baby socks are cute, but the ones I like are so gender specific seems like it could be a waste of money.

I'm too nervous to buy anything. I'm currently pg, 6w4d, and have considered buying cute things to announce to my parents and in laws, but I'm going to hold off until the first u/s to make sure everything looks good. Even then, I don't think I'd be able to buy anything until I'm out of the first trimester!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I bought a onesie with a shark on it and one with a motorcycle that I used when I announced to my husband.

I bought one onesie from Etsy near the end of my TTC journey. It had a gift tag image on it that said "From God". I didn't end up being able to dress DD in it because she never fit the newborn size lol.

I have purchased a onesie to tell DH if and when it ever happens, and I bought little cowboy boots when I was in a cowboy town because I wanted real ones. DH still has a pair from when he was a baby that we put on display. I'll put that and the onesie together for DH at that point in time.
Besides that, I have a ginormous wish list

The closest impulse buy I ever had was maternity clothes that were on sale while I was in the middle of our IVF cycle. When I was about to pay I canceled the whole thing after thinking about how painful that would be to have to return if it didn't work.
Now I am almost 17 weeks pregnant and still haven't bought anything! I think pinterest keeps me busy for now.

I only bought announcement type stuff for DH - book and lullaby CDs. I also bought some books for myself off HB.

I was so tempted, so many times! But there is always newer and better stuff coming out, so there's never a lack of stuff to buy.

I started buying things here and there. I think I started last year or early this year. It keeps me motivated that I will be a mom some day. Early on, I kept things at my work in a drawer so I wouldn't see it. Now it's in my garage and in the closet. Yeah, I'm not superstitious about these things. Clearly there is a higher power preventing me from getting pregnant since I'm now doing IVF. Buying baby things did not cause my infertility.

I, too, only bought announcement stuff. I bought a few things (those 6 dollar trumpet socks) while I was pregnant the second time and DH took everything and put it in a box for "someday."

I bought an owl sleeper. We really like owls and it made me happy while I was waiting.

I bought some nursery decorations before we started TTC. We saw them at a yard sale, brand new for cheap. I couldn't pass them up.

A onesie set that I was going to give to DH to announce my pregnancy. Too bad I couldn't keep my mouth shut and ran into the living room screaming instead!

I bought a hooded monkey towel and some monkey onsies a few months before we started TTC. With this second pregnancy I bought a little red sweater and a white dress a year before we fell pregnant even though I didn't know if we would have a girl. I thought I could always pass them on to a friend or my sister.

During my 10 month struggle to get pregnant with ds the only thing that made me feel better was buying things for our future child. We bought a dresser, changing table, crib sheets, diaper bag, and unisex clothes. I know some people fear it's bad luck but a week after I bought this cool elephant for our future child's room we got pregnant. When we bought it the sales lady told us that an elephant with its trunk up is good luck in her culture and boy was that good luck for us!

I'm not superstitious but I didn't want to buy baby stuff that might make it even harder if I went through another miscarriage. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and we just made our first purchase today. (And that was something pre-owned from Craiglist). ...Also I am holding off to see how many big-ticket items we can get through hand-me-downs and gifts. So far it's a lot, we are loved and lucky!

I'm not superstitious, but we really don't have much room right now to do any "ahead of time shopping". The only thing I bought is this onesie LOL. Priorities.

I didn't buy anything while we were TTC but I was researching baby products! It made registering later a *little* easier having already know a lot of the popular products, etc.

Nothing. Baby products have not even crossed my mind! But, we went into TTC knowing it would be difficult so I think that makes a huge difference.

Nothing. I didn't want to have stuff around as a reminder if TTC took a long time, we had IF challenges, or suffered a loss. I'm 8 weeks pregnant now and we still really haven't bought anything!

Nothing. Never even thought about it when I was TTC and was too worried when I was newly pregnant. I didn't even buy anything for my first LO until after I was 20 weeks. And now at almost 12 weeks pregnant, I haven't bought anything for LO #2.
