Lately, when we tell people how old LO is (almost 8 months), they often say things like "oh, that's a nice age." And it is! We look back and the last few months have been very fun compared to the newborn days. SIL mentioned recently that she specifically remembers that 9 months was "a fun age" for both her kids.
What was a "fun age" for your LO(s)? Are you in one now?

OMG 2 is awesomely fun! She's hilarious (and insane). I love how much she knows and understands. Plus, seeing your mannerisms, speech patterns and idiosyncrasies mimicked by a tiny person is a hoot.

After she got mobile? She got fun. Probably around 11 months or so. Things just keep getting better (and harder) but more fun.

I'm in a fun age now (11 months!). It would be more fun if she weren't so exhausted and crabby after hardly napping at daycare though.

Nine months is really fun (except for the crappy sleep). She is learning new things every day!

So far 11 months is awesome. He is starting to try to walk on his own, he's getting into everything, and everything new amazes him! He's flexible with naps, and I can take him anywhere with me. He eats what I eat, so that makes it easy too!

We are almost 10 months and it's super fun! She's crawling around, playing with her toys well, pulling herself to standing and is just always so happy. She learns new things each day like waving and clapping. I love this stage!

LO just hit 7 months (well, tomorrow!), and she's definitely the most fun now! She's interactive and it's so fun to watch her trying ot figure things out.

I think it just keeps getting better and better, and more and more fun, as they get older! LO is 19 months and every month I am like, wow this is such a fun age! harder, yes...but more loads of fun!

Totally agree - I think each new phase of learning is fun, because you get to watch them discover the world. It's all fun through a little person's eyes.

I agree that it gets more and more fun, but especially after the first year. There's a lot going on in the first year and any sleep deprivation is no fun! Right now my kids are 4 and 17 months and it's really great. 4 is an easy age and the 17 month old isn't into the terrible 2's or 3's so I'm definitely coasting for a few months.

DH and I were just saying tonight that every stage so far has been the best one; there's not been a time when we're like "oh this stage isn't as much fun as x stage". That being said, 19 months is awesome! He is so much fun!

I loved pretty much everything from 6 - 18 months. I remember 18 months - 2 being a little tougher because he had needs and opinions that he didn't have words for. Language explosion made everything much better from 2 on. Now we are almost at 3 and the purposeful defiance and moodiness is coming into play, so we shall see.

LO is 10 months and this is the best age she's ever been! She crawling now and it's just the cutest thing, seeing her mosey off across the room to fetch her toys from her shelves! She points and waves and claps and tries to stack cups.... and she gives you this look that says she's really pleased with herself! It's a hoot!

I loved 8 - 12 months the best so far. 2 is not my favorite at present.
