The first album I bought was Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson. I LOVED Debbie Gibson. I still listen to hear songs on Pandora on my iphone from time to time. The 2nd album I bought was Together Forever by Rick Astley!

I don't remember the first tape I ever bought but for some reason, I remember my cringe-worthy first cd I ever bought - Kris Kross.

First tape was Cyndi Lauper, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun....for my cabbage patch kids tape recorder. I think it was also the first video I was allowed to see. my parents were very anti- MTV

I think the first album (on tape) I bought myself was maybe the Beach Boys 'Still Cruisin'." I really loved the Beach Boys in elementary school, which may have been directly related to the fact that Kermit the Frog covered Kokomo.
I think the first album on CD I ever purchased myself was Dave Matthews "Crash." -
My sister and I got Discmans one year for Christmas - with it I got Ace of Base's "Sign" and my sister got Mariah Carey's "Music Box."

The first tape I bought myself was II by Boyz II Men. The first CD I bought was the Clueless soundtrack! But the first CD I owned was Jagged Little Power by Alanis--my mom gave it to me for Christmas in the 5th grade.
