I was an English major with a minor in Spanish. My husband double majored in Math and Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, which is apparently a more theoretical version of a Mechanical Engineering degree.

Mine is Life Science and with the track I took is essentially a Biology degree at other schools. I went to a smaller branch campus. If I would have transferred to the main campus, I would have gotten a Biology degree.
DH has a fine arts degree in Illustration.

I was English/history and DH was finance and IT (he was in the undergrad business school at our college). I'm a journalist so I definitely use mine, though I think an English major can be applied to almost anything. DH does mostly database engineering and I'm pretty sure he wishes he'd just majored in engineering.

Political science and journalism...I do corporate communications now, so I would say I use the journalism part, just not in the traditional sense. DH majored in history but went in a different direction for his career.

Out of high school I was majoring in Political Science, but I dropped out and went to Culinary School instead, I've recently gone back to school to study Health Education with an emphasis in Holistic Health.
My husband got a degree in architecture, but he's now working as a graphic designer.

Mine was psychology and DH's was industrial engineering. I'm a psychologist and DH is an engineer (though more civil then industrial), so I'd say we followed our college majors well!

Mine was psychology, don't really use it in human resources so much...couldn't get my masters as planned because DH went back to school and we couldn't afford to both be students. . DH is currently a chemical engineering major! I know he'll use it, it's pretty specific

DH has a BS in applied math and statistics and a masters in mathematics education. He uses it for his job (math teacher).

I did a double major: French & International Studies + a minor in German. Couldn't get enough school so did a master's in French lit & then a master's in teaching. Now I teach high school.
DH majored in Finance & works for a company that develops financial software. He uses his major + has learned all the tech stuff on the job.
