I thought mine would be that I got to play Santa, and getting excited about LO's reaction to the gifts, but the best part was watching her reaction to seeing the Christmas lights. She kept saying "Woooooooowwwww" really loud LOL

My DD's audible gasp when she saw that Santa had eaten the cookies and left a gift for her. Second favorite was the French silk pie I made for Christmas dessert. I even impressed myself by how good it was, haha (my desserts don't always turn out so great).

Bedtime? Ha!
jake and DH are sick so it's been a rough week but seeing him excited to play with my niece and nephew who are in jr high and see them having fun watching him warmed my heart so much. All their 'I'm so cool' attitude melted away for him

We went sledding and for a nature walk. It was snowing and it just looked so magical! And it was quiet and we were out on some of our property that is just near nothing, so it was like being on a deserted island or something. The girls ate snow, and looked for animals and tracks, and generally had a wonderful time.

Definitely watching C open her presents. Her little face lighting up with joy made me go all mushy.
We don't normally just randomly buy her toys, so she was super excited.

Watching D look at all the lit candles during the Silent Night candlelighting at church. That's always been my favorite part of Christmas, and seeing him take it all in was really special.

@Mrs. Twine: That sounds so wonderful!
Hmm, I can't pick a favorite part... I loved my first Christmas Eve service with LO, even though she was being wild and we had to watch from outside the sanctuary during the candlelight. I got all teary eyed when she clapped and tried to sing along with the carols.... on Christmas morning, it was fun watching my LO and my nephew open gifts wearing matching pjs. My LO LOVED getting a purse and crayons, which really surprised me because she's only 12 mo... I didn't think she'd really react to gifts like that. At night we walked around with the kids and looked at the neighbors Christmas lights... LO kept hugging me and kissing me, squealing and saying, "Mama ooooh," as she pointed to various displays. Oh, and when we got back I let her have a few bites of pumpkin pie and she went nuts over it, smacking her lips and saying, "mmmmmm".

My LO is only 6 weeks old, so many family members met him for the first time at Christmas, which was fun. My absolute favorite was watching my grandmother with him. My grandfather passed away in April and we knew this holiday season would be hard for the entire family, but especially for her. She spent most of the time with him in her arms and I know he helped her get through it.

When DS was opening presents from Santa, everything was "SO awesome!"...even the clothes! And then he said, "this is the best Christmas EVER!" It was so much fun.

LO opening her gifts. She would get the biggest smile on her face once it was unwrapped! She also got so excited each time she was handed gifts she would start flapping her arms! It was so cute
