Just as the title says, what was your first AF postpartum like?
DS is 12m and still nurses 3x/day. I got what I thought was AF on Friday, but it only lasted a day and it was super light. So I'm guessing that wasn't it since I was expecting it to be a lot heavier. Now I'm wondering what's going on with my body??

I think it can be all over the place still be normal. Mine was normal and regular when it came back at 9 months PP- for the first three months anyway and then it went wacky after I weaned.

@travellingbee: hmm thanks. Maybe it was a real AF but even pre-baby it was 4-5 days long. I guess time will tell!

Mine was normal when it came back at 9.5 months postpartum, but my cycle wasn't regular yet.

I'm thinking the spotting wasn't a real AF. I wonder what it was though. I've never spotted a day in my life!

It was horror! I previously had heavy periods but this was insane. Then the next one was super light (like just enough to need a tampon). On my third and it's medium. So, my guess is there are no rules and AF likes to keep us on our toes!

it was light then became crazy heavy. the heaviest ever in my life! after a couple of months i couldn't stand it anymore and went back on the pill.

Mine came back while on the mini pill about 6 weeks pp. On the mini pill, I got my period every two weeks. It was a decent flow, not horrible.

It was normal when it came back at 15 months postpartum! Seemed slightly heavier than normal but not outrageously so, and still just lasted 5 days, which is typical for me.
