I have already put in a request for sushi, immediately after delivery if possible! What did you have to have, after that marathon baby-birthing session?

There's an Irish pub that my husband and I love to go to, they have hand made fries that are to die for. My husband went there after I delivered and I requested he bring me back some of those fries. Yum.

Got the hospital meal of chicken and veggies and it was delicious. Ithad been 48 hours since I had eaten or drank anything and 12 hours after delivery. I had to stay in the delivery room because I had some complications. Those last 12 were the worst!!!

I can't remember! I know I had graham crackers while I was waiting because I was ravenous. She was born at 3:52 am and I dont think I ate anything until around 7 when they brought breakfast.

Applesauce and apple juice. I'd been really really sick all throughout L&D and then wasn't allowed to eat for like 6 hours. By the time they let me eat I was scared of throwing up again.
Around 12 hrs post-delivery DH brought me a turkey sandwich from the hospital cafe...most incredible turkey sandwich I've ever had in my life, period.

I had graham crackers and a few other snacks but not a real meal. It was about 9pm when I got to the PP room and I was too tired and excited to eat.

There is a Jimmy John's and sushi place across the street from the hospital. So depending on what time I go into labor I want either a Turkey Tom or rainbow roll.

Chipotle! But I was too in shock from how ridiculously fast LO was born that I couldn't eat until the next morning.

In N Out Burger- cheeseburger and animal fries and an iced tea, at midnight. They forgot my fork, but I was so hungry I ate the fries with my hands!
I had everything high quality and in moderation, so I don't feel like I was missing out on anything through pregnancy, other than my usual portions. Leaving me no cravings, other than scarfing food down!

Big Mac and fries and was pretty upset that they forgot my choc shake. I wanted steak but it was too late in the evening to get it.

I had deli ham on a fresh baguette! I was pretty lax about foods during pregnancy with the exception of deli meat (no idea why I was so caught up on that one!) so all I wanted was ham. It was ridiculously giood.....

I had the hospital food and every meal was so good. Actually, what I was most excited about was getting to have juice, tea and coffee. I couldn't believe they were letting me have it , after being denied during pregnancy, and the whole 12 hours of labor.

Fruit, applesauce, and cranberry juice. As they were packing us up to go to the postpartum room, I got nauseous from the flood of hormones. The next day, I got Jimmy Johns from some friends visiting.

I had an Everything Bagel with cream cheese (it was morning). My mom, sis and husband had one earlier in the morning and I was so jealous!

Hospital breakfast...the first meal I kept down in 2.5 days. Food has never been so perfectly adequate, haha.
In my dream birth, I'd be getting wine and bone marrow!

Hospital breakfast for me! I gave birth at 6;49 so I got the breakfast delivery at 7:30. I ate every crumb of it!

Due to the c-section it was chicken broth and green jello. Not the juicy hamburger I was hoping for!

Lots of graham crackers because food wasn't available at 8a, but first true meal was hospital hamburger and fries. Only the fries were soggy by the time I got to them. Still, it all tasted amazing!

the hospital food was amazing but my first real meal was from Border Cafe delivered by my friends. Quesadilla, chips & queso!

I don't remember the first thing but I remember when I got to order something. I ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches, fries and broccoli. And a diet coke. Mmmmm. I wanted more grilled cheese!

Whatever I could get my hands on. I didn't eat much in the 2 days I was in labour, and what I did eat I puked right up (yech!) so once she was out, I ate half a sandwich, cheese sticks, a muffin, some oranges. Seriously, whatever anyone handed me I devoured!

Hospital Mac n cheese with green beans at 6am. It did the trick.

White hot chocolate from Starbucks with their lemon loaf, followed immediately by hospital hamburger and fries with cookies (: After 35+ hours, it was amazing! (:

C-section, so just broth and juice. I think my second meal I was allowed orange jello. My first real meal, though, was a filet and baked potato from Longhorn Steakhouse.

By the time my c-section was finished and I was back in my recovery room, I hadn't eaten for over 30 hours so I was ready to mow whatever I could get my hands on. My husband went to the hospital cafeteria and I had a cup of veggie soup, a turkey/cheese wrap, a pudding cup...and a roast beef sandwich LOL all in the span of about 20 minutes. I was so hungry!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
I wasn't even hungry after not eating for an entire 34 hours, all I wanted was water, I was so thirsty. When I finally was ready for breakfast I dominated french toast, eggs, bacon, fruit, and a brownie. Largest meal ever.

I have GD and have been on a restricted diet for the past 9 weeks, so I have a long list -- and none of it is healthy! I just need to get it out of my system. I want my first meal though to be a Turkey Tom from Jimmy John's with BBQ chips and a sprite, and a fro-yo from my favorite place. I also want pizza and a Big Mac meal with a chocolate shake. I know, I know, gross. Oh and a big breakfast with pancakes and orange juice.
