I didn't really have any. As long as I kept food in my stomach, I was good.

Not gonna lie, I saw your name and this title and I got crazy excited about a mini-R!
My MS suuuuccckkked. It started earlier, probably because of the twinks. I started feeling queasy around 4 weeks. Started full on throwing up before 6 weeks. Had to take Zofran to keep anything down, but thankfully it mostly went away by the end of the first trimester.
The one exception was coffee, which is my favorite thing ever. If I drank even a tiny bit of coffee at any point in my pregnancy, I would literally projectile vomit. So, so, so sad.

Not that bad, I think. My SIL who is also pregnant was puking every day until she was 15 weeks. I think I probably puked around 10 times my whole first trimester? I did feel nauseated a lot and gagged at things all the time though. I started feeling mildly sick around a week before my BFP, which I got around 5 weeks.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
Overwhelming nausea and my mouth felt like it was watering all the time . . . that only stopped when I was puking, which some days all I wanted to do was puke so I could stop feeling sick! : / I had it from weeks 7-14.
ETA: I also had weird food aversions and couldn't stand the *smell* of boiling water!

I threw up almost every day from 6 to 20 weeks. Horrible . People who didn't know I was pregnant kept asking me how I was losing so much weight.
pomegranate / 3314 posts
I guess it was medium bad? It sucked in that it lasted from like, weeks 8-16, but at least I didn't throw up. However, I was nauseous from the time I woke up until I went to sleep and had major food aversions. I really, really dread going through it again.
pomegranate / 3980 posts
First time I was slightly nauseated for a couple weeks, I didn't know it was morning sickness because the stomach flu was going around. Second time I was full on nauseated all day long from week 4-13. This time so far I start getting sick feeling if I get hungry or smell something bad.
eggplant / 11716 posts
I felt like I had stomach flu 24/7 for 11 very long weeks. I was taking zofran every 6 hours around the clock but I still felt AWFUL constantly. There was a lot of crying and moaning and general wanting to die in those weeks. After that, everything else in my pregnancy seemed like a breeze. Everyone complains about feeling uncomfortable towards the end, but I felt like it was nothing compared to the MS I'd had.

So tired and a bit nauseous. A few close calls of throwing up but never did. Fatigue was brutal though.
honeydew / 7488 posts
I pretty much only dry heaved. I'm thankful that it stopped at that! It went on a till a few weeks after the first trimester.
@MsLipGloss: I didn't know boiling water had a smell! Fascinating...

I puked at least 3x/day from the week of my BFP until 24 weeks with LO. So far, I've only puked 2-3 times with this pregnancy at 15 weeks.

Having something in my stomach was key for me too. I had a ton of snacks at my desk at work...

Constant nausea, no appetite, and occasional throwing up until 20 weeks.
nectarine / 2932 posts
I never threw up, but I basically felt like I had the worlds worst hangover, all day, every day. It was horrific. I finally got put on a prescription at 8 weeks and I've felt great ever since! I got occasional nausea at night when the medication wore off, but I haven't had that in a couple weeks so I think I'm in the clear!

Constant nausea and dry heaving every morning for a few months. Never got sick more than a few times, but always felt like it. Had food aversions to pretty much all meats and couldn't stand the smell of the inside of our fridge. Almost every time I opened the fridge, I'd run for the sink. Good times.
eggplant / 11716 posts
@Weagle: that gives me hope. I'm dreading being pregnant again, because I don't know how I can go through that again.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
I had all day nausea from week 6 through week 20. I threw up a few times every week and dry heaved a lot. I commuted an hour at the time and would drive with a a paper cup in my car to throw up in on the drive. I couldn't drink water bc I would throw it up so I would force myself to eat ice. Sucking on candy helped a lot (ginger didn't do much for me).
coconut / 8498 posts
@Anagram: I was dreading that part, too. But it's been totally different so far! My worst symptoms have been extreme lack of patience and headaches

Hell! I was sick for the first 16 weeks with DD (and randomly after that throughout the rest of the pregnancy). I'm currently still sick at 22 weeks with Baby #2. It is one of the main reasons we are stopping at 2 children. Taking care of a toddler while being sick for almost 5-months straight hasn't been enjoyable!
nectarine / 2994 posts
Mine was horrible, lasted from 6-17 weeks and it was all day every day. I had to keep a container by the bed because as soon as I woke up I started puking. I would throw up at least 10 times a day (and if it was only 10 times then I considered it a good day!) I couldn't keep anything in my stomach until after 5pm when my stomach finally settled enough to eat, I tried anti-nausea pills but they came straight back up when I swallowed them. Even ended up getting IV fluids because I was so dehydrated. I was super grateful when it was over! The rest of my pregnancy was good though.

Not bad. I only threw up once during my entire pregnancy. I had a lot of food aversions, but not a ton of nausea. It was worst from 6-11 weeks, then pretty much went away completely.

I dry heaved every morning in the first tri. Only threw up a few times - of course one of them was at work
pomegranate / 3393 posts
Debilitating nausea, heightened sensitivity to smells, loss of appetite, but very little throwing up.
papaya / 10560 posts
With DS, until about week 12, everything made me almost puke, but not quite. Especially eggs and raw chicken...GAG.
With DD, I had morning sickness my whole pregnancy, and a ton of stuff would randomly make me dry heave. Sometimes just looking at food made me want to run for the pot!
nectarine / 2220 posts
It completely bypassed me in the first trimester, then at week 14 it hit, and I threw up every time I stood up, so ended up just laying on the couch and skipping work for a week until I got dicletin.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
It came only at night time, which was a blessing because I could sleep right through it. Nausea only
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Mine was pretty non-existent. I had some nausea when driving or brushing my teeth (so random), but that was pretty much it! I just ate enough to keep it at bay!
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@Adira: I was dry heaving all through my pregnancy while brushing my teeth. Isn't that totally weird?
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
Nauseous all day except between 10-2. Like a never ending hangover from 6-16 weeks. Only threw up once though.
pineapple / 12234 posts
Horrible. With my first, I threw up every day until 38 weeks, with my second, I threw up 3-4 times a day until 35 weeks and finally with this pregnancy, I took zofran daily and still do at 24 weeks. I probably had hyperemesis with my 1st and 2nd pregnancy but I only lost about 7 pounds during the first trimester. My OB diagnosed me with it this time though.
eggplant / 11408 posts
Awful. It started 5 days before my BFP, and it didn't let up until around 18 weeks. I didn't often throw up, but the nausea was debilitating. I felt like I was losing touch with reality, I was so out of it. All that sounded good were sour things, yogurt, and really cold fruit. Zofran made it bearable, but didn't take it away completely. It eased for a while, but I've been nauseous on and off since about 30 weeks again. It's nowhere near as bad now, but it's still not great or fun.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Mine was gross. From 6 weeks - 10 weeks, I had all-day nausea and tons of dry-heaving, and then from 10 weeks to 16 weeks, I had vomiting daily. Diclectin pills made it possible to eat, but a lot still came back up.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@Pumuckl: I actually don't think that's uncommon! I read a tip from someone (on WB, I think...) about humming while brushing your teeth to help not be nauseous/vomit. Never worked for me, though, I was always dry heaving. I still do, sometimes!
The first time I threw up when I was pregnant was before I even tested. The smell of bacon triggered it. I didn't throw up a ton, but only because I tried to keep something--usually almonds--in my stomach at all times. I was nauseous all of the way through to the minute I delivered, and threw up probably 1-2x a week (and A LOT during labor). I also had major food aversions. I could rarely touch meat of any kind (even bacon, which I LOVED). Eggs and anything fried, pan or otherwise was a no-go. I was okay with carbs--in the form of plain pasta noodles with a little bit of butter, no other sauce at first, and in the form of Mac and Cheese at the end. Basically I ate peanut butter sandwiches the whole time, lol.

@lovehoneybee: interesting about the humming. I'll have to try that next time around.
papaya / 10473 posts
All day every day until around 16 weeks, but I almost never threw up. I had a major aversion to all things with any kind of tomato based sauce - pasta, pizza, etc.
