We have a lovely new playmat, swing, lots of toys and what is it S prefers to look at? The curtains! Literally she will crane her neck to try and see them and if she can't because she's facing the wrong way, she'll start to cry until I turn her around so she can stare at them!

LO loves a good ceiling fan and light fixture. She also tries to see the television but I put a stop to that most of the time.

A glass full of water. She LOVES to sneak things in there. I'm currently drinking a tall glass of pickle water now. It was just one tiny slice, and I'm too achey to get a new one!

Her current obsession is with my drawer of baking pans that is under our wall mounted ovens. But basically, she's obsessed with anything that's not a toy! Heaven forbid she play with the hundreds of doars worth of toys she has!!

Right now she is obsessed with standing at the coffee table. We have these little support things that pull out and hold the top when you open them, more like a trunk. And R loves to pull the supports out and just stand there and bang her hand on it, over and over.

She loooves my spice jars. Lately she'll take out a jar, wipe it with a dish towel and put it back in the drawer.

Wooden spoons, dish towels, ice cube trays, and paper. Oh, and cords! Like the laptop cord. We have to keep everything up high or she'll chew on it.

When he was an infant he would just stare up at the Christmas lights we keep strung up in the living room year-round.
Now it's usually anything that isn't a toy, but he takes particular joy in trying to get his hands on DH's wireless mouse and my phone. And grabbing kitchen utensils (like hard plastic spatulas) off of the counter, which he can now reach thanks to his other favorite toy, the kitchen stool.

Tags of any sort are his obsession. Why play with the doll when you can suck the tag? Or the tags on clothes & receiving blankets.

lol, that's cute! My LO used to love to stare at curtains too.
Right now he loves to get into the pantry and get this half empty bag of egg noodles and carry it around.

@lovehoneybee: M likes to use the dishwasher for leverage. I swear she has radar for that thing and as soon as I open the door she's trying to climb in!! She also tried to do a pull up on the door handle when it was closed the other day. Awesome.

@MamaMoose: He loves trying to "help" when I do the dishes. He'll sit on the open door or stand up on it and pull the top rack out. He'll try to pull out anything I've put on the bottom rack. Lately he's been trying to put his toys in there (particularly his shape-sorter bucket).

This hideous light we own. He loves it and would stare at it all day long. I usually say something like "baby loves lamp" everyday.
Also, he super enjoys getting dressed. He finds it hilarious! The weirdo!

My DD is obsessed with our baby gate. She opens it, walks through, closes it, then opens it again, walks through, closes it. OVER AND OVER. If I pull her away, she scream and tantrums. She's also obsessed with eating strawberries. She had 8 strawberries last night and kept signing for more.
