DH is fine with poopy diapers, bath time, cleaning her ears, but he will not cut her nails or use the Nose Frieda.

He does everything. I took over nail cutting once I got the hang of it due to my own ocd.

Nothing! He does it all! Though he thought the mosefrieda was pretty nasty
honeydew / 7811 posts
@Smurfette: He only refuses to deal with jammies with snaps/buttons. He has a strict zipper only policy.
I however refuse to clip nails!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
He doesn't do nails, but he will hold her while I do it. Otherwise we split everything down the middle.
Edit: he won't pick her nose...I have no problem with this! haha

DH gags at every poopy diaper (super dramatic...) if I am home- he passes him off to me! He wont cut LO's nails (although I have never asked him too- but I fear lil B would lose a fingertip) He wont use thermometer.... it freaks him out.... oye.
pomelo / 5469 posts
Nothing--though he hates rubbing in nappy rash cream I still make him do it!
pear / 1699 posts
Clip his nails, he cut DS's finger when he was 2 weeks old and has refused since.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@cmomma17: Mine hates the snaps too but so I try and lay out the zippers on the weekends when he is home. I am buying 2 piece sets for the summer!

I think he does the same gross baby stuff that I do. If he's sick, he can't handle the smell of the poopy diaper. Yet, he gave me some crap for not wanting to eat or make a dinner that LO puked recently.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
He hasn't cleared out his nose (um...I get a lot of satisfaction in doing it...) or clip his fingernails, and I don't think he's ever cleaned out his ears (but E almost never needs that or taken his temperature.
Doesn't normally mind poop, though, except for that time he threw up because of it!

@Smurfette: My DH won't do his nails either! I mean, he'll do it if he absolutely has to, but prefers that I clip them b/c I'm so quick. That's probably one of the only things!

Dh will not cut nails, he clipped our older daughter's toe a bit once when she was a baby and has refused to do it ever since.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
He does everything, but if I am home, there are things he still prefers I tackle, albeit with his assistance, i.e., clipping nails and the NoseFrida.
nectarine / 2220 posts
It's kind of a long list...
He won't lift her in or out of the bath, wash her hair, wipe/pick her nose, clip her nails, take her temperature (not even under the arm pit - definitely not the other way), put on diaper cream, or put on a sleeper with snaps, pack the diaper bag, touch baby food or breast milk, wear any type of baby carrier, make her do tummy time, put her down for a nap/bed, read aloud or sing.

He'll do everything. I don't understand not doing something for your own child, if they need it.
papaya / 10473 posts
He does it all, but usually defers to me on nail clipping bc its easier for me.
pomelo / 5093 posts
Nothing. Well, he wouldn't use a noise Freda, but I wouldn't either. We have an equal share in all parenting things, when possible.
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
He does everything. He didn't start doing nails until we had 2 kids, though. Finally built up the nerve, I guess!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
He won't clip his nails. When LO was really little (maybe 1 month), DH clipped his finger and LO freeeeaked out and cried for a long time (and it bled a lot). Ever since then, I've taken over the nails.
persimmon / 1361 posts
He does everything. I guess he has never clipped his nails, but I don't think I've ever asked him to do that...
honeydew / 7283 posts
I don't think he's clipped M's nails, but I'm sure he would I'm a pinch. He does everything else though. He just did the nose frieda 45 minutes ago while I held her hands.
pomegranate / 3858 posts
He won't clip nails, nose frida, wash hair or feed her anything that he thinks looks gross or smells gross in his eyes. He also doesn't like to clean out her "girl parts" (as he calls them) during a diaper change. He also won't pick out an outfit (unless it's jammies) or pack the diaper bag. So weird.
But he will do all poopy diapers and vomit, so it's all right
He'd probably do the other things if I was unable to.
honeydew / 7589 posts
I wouldn't put up with him refusing to do any task that parenting entails... he's just as much her parent as I am, he can't just opt out of parenting.
Thankfully, he doesn't try. He's a very involved parent.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
He used to be scared of cutting her nails when she was really little because she was so squirmy and he accidentally cut them a little too short once.
He does everything, 100%!
bananas / 9118 posts
He does it all- we try to leave the snapped jammies for each other because we both hate them
I stopped buying them once I figured out what a pain in the ass they are.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
Actually, my husband does more than me, because he is the only one that can properly dispense medicine. When I do it, my son spits it out.
honeydew / 7586 posts
He does everything but prefers if I feed him. For some reason, puréed food grosses him out.
I won't clip his nails. I'm too scared. That's DH's job!
grapefruit / 4823 posts
He does everything. He prefers that I clip their nails, but would in a heartbeat if I didn't mind doing it.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@blackbird: It pisses me off that he won't do the Nose Frieda. He said that he did when I was gone for the weekend back in November but now if I am home he won't do it.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
He hasn't really ever said no to anything but I feel like he wouldn't want to use the nosefrida lol
persimmon / 1436 posts
He does everything except clipping nails. When DS was about 6 weeks old, I accidentally got part of his little finger and it bled and he screamed and I cried hysterically. Since then, we are both leery of the task...I actually still bite LOs nails off at 5 months old! Am I gross? I figure I'll keep doing that until he's more mobile and touching goodness-knows-what.
persimmon / 1436 posts
@Arden: I love seeing your DD and DH on your IG, he seems to just absolutely adore her and it's so sweet! Lol I hope that doesn't make me sound like a creeper!
coconut / 8475 posts
He does it all.
We fight over who's turn it is to change the poopy diapers though. I usually win because I say, "I did a poopy one while you were at work", sometimes that's a lie.
