Um, not working!
This girl in my mom group has a cool schedule, she works 3 nights a week, from 6pm-12am. So no daycare for them! Their schedules mesh perfectly.

I agree that 22 hours (2-3 days) in the office and 8 hours at home. I would only want to be in office during "school" hours so like 9-3.

@septemberlove: that's pretty much my schedule only it's 6pm-1 or 2am three days a week and then Sundays during the day.
My dream schedule would be to work maybe 2-3 days a week for only 5 hour shifts. That way I could still bring in some of my own money but primarily be home.

M-F 1/2 day 8-12. Get to pay for 1/2 day daycare and have a full paycheck. I love dream-world.

I LOVED working 6am-2pm, but not 5 days a week. Ideally, I'd like to work from home, maybe from 7-3 or something like that. 4 days a week would be perfect.

I'd love to be a SAHM, but that won't be possible. Realistically, I'd get to work from home at least 2 or 3 days a week or have a shortened work day with the same pay.

@mewtill: In dream world, I am with you. If I could just compromise between dream world and reality...8-4 without having to open my laptop back up at night would be great!!

I have my dream schedule. Full time work hours for my profession are about 20ish hours a week. I make my own schedule so I am able to work around my hobbies and lifestyle. It will be helpful when we have LO's

@septemberlove: that's actually my schedule. It's a best case scenario since I *have* to work.
My dream schedule would be staying at home with LO!

I am a freelancer and work my dream schedule. Weekdays about 8:30-12. Hour break for lunch and pick up DS from daycare. More work from 1pm until the end of nap time, which is usually 3-3:30. Weekends I work maybe two hours just to get the follow week's projects set up.

If I was going back to work, I'd want M-Th 7:30 to 3:30... But the job I want has a lot of people who work that already, so I'm not sure if that could work. I'd want Fridays at home.

I would love to have a Mon-Thurs work week. That extra day added on to a weekend is heaven for me! Maybe someday!
