What would you buy at Lululemon??

I got a gift card to Lululemon, and I'm soooo excited. I've been wanting to buy something from there forever but I told myself I'd wait until I've lost a little more weight and I'm doing yoga more regularly. But now that I have this lovely gift card ($100) I really really want to splurge!

I still don't wanna pull the trigger on yoga pants... what would you get? I wanted some kind of long, flowy cardigan or hoodie to wear to and from the gym, and on weekends while around the house. But right now all they have are the regular sweatshirt hoodies, which are cute, but I don't know if I want to blow my gift card on just a hoodie.

Oh that's too bad you're not too pumped about the scuba hoodies. I feel like they're a must-have lululemon product!!! It's not just a hoodie...it's like a giant cotton hug!

I worked at lululemon while I was still in school. While many of my coworkers had 15-20 scuba hoodies, I only managed to accumulate 6. That was 8 years ago and I still wear all of my hoodies!

What WOULDN'T I buy at lulu?? DH totaled the cost of my lulu wardrobe one day ad it was mildly embarrassing.

My fav pieces -
- relaxed fit pants
- any and every wrap
- scuba hoodie
- racer back tanks
- any and every zip up jacket

I'm with @sammyfab, it's not just a hoodie...it's so much more! I think it's one of the more versatile things you can get at lulu. I know you said you're not crazy about getting yoga pants but can I just say I LOVE all my lulu yoga pants? They're like PJ's, loungewear, and workout gear all in one (not on the same day, of course)! Happy shopping

@char54: I think what I'm looking for is something like a wrap...? I'm also dying for one of their tops that is drapey/flowy at the waist.

@mrs. wagon: I've always longed to shop at Lululemon but I couldn't justify the price. Let us know what you ultimately decide on getting! I'm so intrigued! Maybe I will splurge and get myself something =)

Lulu lemon is the treat I am getting when I get to my pre-baby weight too!!! I can't wait! I think I'm just going to get one of their tank tops.

@Mrs. Pen: I know... that's my one issue with the scuba hoodies... I want the top to cover the crotch so I can wear leggings with it. But then again I could always wear a long tank underneath....

@char54: DITTO! What wouldn't I buy from Lululemon?

hahah... well, actually, I've yet to splurge on a Scuba Hoodie since I don't wear hoodies all too often.

@mrs. wagon: It's too bad you don't want any of the yoga pants, because I truly believe that is Lulu's amazing stand-out point! They make your butt look good! I would usually recommend a yoga pant to anyone as a first investment piece. I still wear my original black Grooves from almost a decade ago and they still look great! I get the MOST wear out of my Wunder Unders (long in Fall & Winter, and Crops in the Spring & Summer).
As for tops/jackets, I can never get enough of my Savasana Jacket/Wrap. Not sure if they still have it (seasonal I think), but it's like being wrapped in a blanket and perfect for traveling!
I know you're a bagaholic, have you checked out their bags? Ihave a couple and they are awesome! I especially love them for traveling, there are so many great, functional pockets and slots.
Clothes-wise: Cool Racer Backs, Run Swiftly Tees, No Limit Tank, and any jackets!

@shopaholic: yeeeeee I knew you'd have a good run-down for me!! hehe. I most definitely want a pair of the pants (probably black Grooves as well) but I want to wait until I lose 5-10 more pounds before investing in them because I tend to lose weight in my thighs and butt first.

I think the savasana wrap is EXACTLY what I want!! should I wait and see if they come out with it again?

Gonna go check out the bags now!

@mrs. wagon: Ooh! I forgot to mention, I favor my Astro pants more than the Groove (pre-pregnancy). It's a straighter cut, not as flared on the bottom. But oh TG for the Grooves - I've basically lived in them the last 2 months! Gonna need a new one after I lose weight PP!

RE: The Savasana Wrap - I'm not sure how often they bring it back. It's usually in the Fall/Winter season. I missed out the very first year and had to wait a whole year before it came back.
Any of their jackets are really pretty good though and they do have some longer length jackets that cover the butt, but are fitted. Can't remember the name of the one I have. I usually have much more luck in-store than online.

@shopaholic: thanks!!! looks like Astro would be better for me too-- I like the straighter cut and it looks like they've made the flare on the Grooves even wider than before. I really really hope they bring that wrap back because I want one!!

I have one right down the street but it's a small one... I just may have to visit the one in Copley (the major mall in downtown Boston) this weekend.

@mrs. wagon: I wouldn't let 5-10 lbs deter you from buying their pants... I've gained almost 50 lbs with my pregnancy so far and I still fit ok in my regular lulu groove pants. That would be my recommendation, I have 3 pairs at the moment (and have prob had 7-8 pairs over the last decade). I wear them all. the. time.

@smocks: Yep, same with me. I had a couple of pairs that I wore through two pregnancies. They are still fabulous. One pair is a bit faded from being washed so much.
