This morning around 6-615 am, DD woke up crying. This happens about 75% of the time and I usually let her cry and she goes back to sleep for another 40 min. It's usually 5 min or less that she cries/whines. And crying upon wake up is usually a clear sign that she hasn't gotten enough sleep. DD is 2 yo.

What happened was she was crying and then asked, "me want a drink 'a water pwease" UGH. She said it a few times and I couldn't ignore that, so I brought her cup in knowing that she would freak out if I left, so I brought her to our bed, but she was up for the day (as expected). She took her normal nap and was pretty cranky when she woke up from it.

Would you have ignored the request to have her get more sleep? Or gone into her room?
