I've done a gift basket of random stuff before that they usually need - new lightbulbs, painter's tape, screws/nails for hanging pictures, goo gone, spackle/grout for patching up stuff, paintbrushes, cleaning supplies.

Food.
I remember my mom came over our house with a bunch of hot subs and cold drinks after we moved in and we sat on plastic covered couches and ate like we were starved. -
Food or gift card to Target or Home Depot!

I like to bring a shower liner and a house plant or bottle of wine. I find any time I move into a place that has a curtain required type shower it's either missing or nasty, and there's nothing worse than moving all day and not being able to shower off.

Toilet paper, hand soap and paper towel. They somehow always get packed and you can't find them and you need them!
