My blood pressure's usually around 120/80, typically a little under. I took three readings today after lunch (i had pho'--could salty food affect it that fast?):
138/85
124/79
133/80
My Dr's office closes for half days on Fridays...did your blood pressure fluctuate at the end? Should I be concerned? I'm 36W

It depends on your pre-pregnancy average. My birth center doesn't like to see it go over 140/90 and will have me call in if it hits that. Because yours is fluctuating up and down I wouldn't be freaking out, but I might call.

I would just call and ask. I don't remember what mine was but we would see definite spikes in my blood pressure, there was no question that it was higher than normal. Sometimes though if they left me in the room to relax for 10-15 minutes it would go back down to a normal number.

Mine started going higher than normal around 36 weeks. They weren't concerned at that point and said it was normal to go a little higher at the end. At 38 weeks my diastolic went over 90 and that's when they sent me to L&D for monitoring. I think over 140/90 was their threshold too. I had a few really high spikes in my last two weeks and that's why the doctors had me coming in every other day and decided to induce me on my due date.

I hate calling when the office is closed, but I guess that's their job. Sigh. I do know my doc was worried because of my past pregnancies--she said that numerous miscarriages can mean your body starts to turn on the pregnancy towards the end and makes you higher risk for this stuff.
I left a call with the urgent exchange hotline. Hopefully she just tells me to relax and drink some water and take an easy weekend.

I agree that most times is anything over 140/90 however, if you've had ANY previous issues at all def make sure they are aware that it's creeping up.

My office got worried at 140/90 but would bring me in for monitoring at anything/85
I had a lot of swelling 37+ so my BP was rising. Ended up delivering at exactly 38 for BP reasons.

yeah my doc called and said 140/90 was the concern area, on two separate readings, six hours apart.
Thanks guys! I probably wouldn't have thought much of it if she hadn't scared me a little that i was already at a higher risk!
I also just started getting a lot more swollen lately. My shoes hurt yesterday (first time!) and the definition in my ankles is almost nonexistent, so i guess that's the correlation =\
