@Raindrop: Oh haha. Most people think when I say I don't cook that I can't. I actually do make freezer meals for LO but for DH and I its just too much mess and work for what it's worth!
And when I do cook I totally cheat and use paper plates haha.

@FaithFertility: looks like we're due around the same time. I didn't eat our dinner either. I think i might try in a minute. I might have plain oatmeal instead. I actually added rice because I thought that would make it more edible for me...nope. lol

@Mrs. Sunshine: @FaithFertility: I hope you two feel better soon! I remember not being able to eat much when I was pregnant. *big hugs*
@SweetiePie: I agree with you! When we didn't have kids we ate out all the time! Our moms (mine and his) assumed I wasn't a very good cook either. Haha just b/c you don't want to cook doesn't mean you can't. Again I'm pretty okay cook - not super awesome, but I definitely can pull a tasty meal together but it's a lot of work!
We started using paper plates when LO was born to reduce house chores... we still use them like twice a week to avoid dishes. HA!

@Raindrop: we don't really use paper products but no dishes does sound delightful...I may just change my mind lol

@Mrs. Sunshine: Oh DH and I also plate share to reduce dishes. Since one person is usually managing the kids while the other is eating... we plate/kid swap during dinner most nights. Maybe that's TMI...

@Raindrop: Lol we plate swap too.
We had rotini with spicy Italian sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and cream sauce. I think DS mostly ate mushrooms.

DH picked up Zoe's on his way home from work, since I had a busy day and ran out of time to cook. Yesterday I made a yummy shrimp dish, and the day before I made chicken.

Lentil soup with duck sausage.
I make lentil soup once a week and we eat it for dinner when I'm out of steam and don't feel like cooking dinner. And at least once a week my honey will bring a bowl to work.
I start by carmelizing onions and leeks and adding celery, carrots and garlic. Depending on our mood I then add Italian seasonings and tomatoes or Indian spices. If we have meat we need to use up I'll add that at the end. Usually just on DH's because I'm not a big meat eater. If our spinach needs to be used up I'll add that too. Last week I used Moroccan seasonings and added preserved lemon and it was really really good.
I feel bad because we eat it all the time lately, but it's easy and for me it's comfort food. My husband says he's happy to eat anything as long as he doesn't have to cook.
I have one month until DD is due. I need to find a few more easy, healthy meals to cook soon.

@travellingbee: yay I was hoping it was good, that's great. I usually get stouffer's meat lover's lasagna, which we ate for dinner tonight. I will try the Omaha brand next week!

@travellingbee: yay good to hear! I mentioned Omaha steaks to DH today and he said yeah we should get some stuff from there! Hehe.

@akcoffeebean: That sounds super tasty!! Thanks for the recipe. I will try it out! One thing I love about DH is that he doesn't get tired of things... I could totally cook the same thing over and over again if I want to.
