Oops started this late!
We are having rice, a ground pork and green bean omelet (my mom is cooking this for us) and some sort of other veggie side... can't decide what to roast.. maybe squash?

@Mrs Green Grass: Dine in or take out?! What type of food are you thinking about getting? If DH isn't around... I usually try to eat something he hates. Haha.

@Raindrop: He's only 19 months old. DH did give him a few bites yesterday because he's sick and feverish.

@gingerbebe: mmmm that ice cream pie sounds good! We went through all the good Easter candy and now I'm just stealing LOs m&ms out of her basket.
We got a Blue Apron delivery so it's either Nepalese meatball ragu or some kind of chicken dish. Whichever is easier.

@Foodnerd81: @Raindrop: I made it with mint Oreo thins so is extra nomz.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@Foodnerd81: Sounds yummers!
@gingerbebe: Oh I use to love mint oreos covered in fudge! Oreo thins are so awesome... I'm so glad oreo came out with a thin version. So good!

@Raindrop: I'm thinking Greek. LO loves gyro meat and he's teeny tiny so I like the high calories for him. (And it doesn't hurt that I love Greek too.)

@Mrs Green Grass: Haha! Dh doesn't like trendy food. It's kind of funny... I always want to try trendy food but he hates the lines and gets kind of mad that I want to get it and waste time in lines and crowds. But hey I want to try korean tacos!! (just an example) He likes the food just fine but he doesn't like the hassle of getting it. If that makes sense. Haha.
So I would totally go to a trendy food place if he wasn't around. *shifty eyes*

@Raindrop: I don't know yet! I have a babysitter coming from 3-6... I plan to clean the house and maybe go grocery shopping? But I think we may go out to eat or get take out after she leaves still.

@Raindrop: I do too! DH will play along, as long as it's easy. We often just sit at the bar or whatever. If it was easy I'd get ramen tonight!

@Raindrop: I would love Vietnamese food but it's like dh's least favorite. Maybe Thai or Mexican?
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@junebugsmama: But Vietnamese is sooo good!! Maybe he just hasn't found a dish he likes yet. Hehe.
I know you are in the bay area... Have you tried the best thai restaurant in the bay area yet? Krung Thai?
http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-krung-thai-restaurant-san-jose
It's kind of south bay ish so it might be far from you but you should check it out while you are in the area some day! Also make sure you go to the NEW krung thai and not the orginal krung thai.
Funny story... the new krung thai is actually the original krung thai but the owners had a fight and one moved down the street (like a block away) and called themselves the original krung thai and so the original original krung thai had to name themselves new krung thai that confused everyone for years.

@FaithFertility: Yum!
@yoursilverlining: That sounds interesting and yummy! Is it completely vegetarian?
@Charm54: My kids would love that dinner! Hehe.

grapefruit / 4731 posts
@Jackiedavis87: Yeah DH comes home late so we usually don't eat till he comes home which is around 7-8pm - it's 4ish for me right now. Even though I'm home early, the kids eat earlier of course. I usually wait to eat with him. I know I know I'm super sweet. Haha.
I'm on a diet too! So I'm trying my best not to over eat especially when it comes to snacks... love snacks.... Maybe I can try this exercising thing out (gasp!) and take a walk before he comes home today with the kids.... nah!!!!

@Raindrop: haha there's never enough left for us! I've taken to adding broccoli florets to them because DD2 won't touch greens anymore.

@lovehoneybee: we LOVE farro!!

@Raindrop: I haven't! I am from San Jose too!! The Thai places by us are just ok we ended up going grocery shopping and actually picked up stuff for enchiladas. DH sort of cooked it, I mean he mostly put everything together but I cut the rotisserie chicken and veggies. We've been having some major issues with our 15m when I try to prepare dinner, he gets so obsessed with mommy. Makes me just say lets go out! Or you cook dinner...
