I have to admit that one of the hardest adjustments to becoming a parent has been how less adventurous we are now. I used to be all about having new experiences; now I'm all about preserving LO's sleep schedule. DH and I talked about this recently, and especially now that our daughter is almost two, we really want to try to check some more things off our bucket list. We're going to start by seeing Mayan ruins on a Caribbean cruise this Christmas.

Some other things on my bucket list:

- visit every national park in the contiguous US (20 down, 26 to go!)
- read every novel written by Jane Austen (check!)
- pay for a stranger's groceries
- visit Alaska
- go zip lining
- walk behind a big waterfall (check! Silver Falls State Park in Oregon was amazing)
- cruise the Mediterranean (check!)
- attend an opera
- go on a 5 mile hike (check!)
- go on a 10 mile hike
- self-publish a novel
- craft something to pass on as an heirloom to LO (I'm embroidering some toys for her for Christmas)
- visit Northern Europe
- visit Britain

I'd love to hear what's on your list for inspiration.
