If you had an unlimited budget for baby gear, what are the items you would get?
For me, it would be Stokke products, hands down. The Sleepi crib, the changing table, the Tripp Trapp high chair, and the Xplory stroller.

My friend got this iron crib for like $2000. I am in love with it! I don't know the brand but it is gorgeous, like the kind of thing you would imagine in a castle.

A bugaboo stroller!
This crib: http://pinterest.com/pin/284430532686317023/, or this one: http://xo-inmyroom.com/2012/05/06/cirkus-baby-bed/
A CB2 Pouf!
Either the Svan or Stokke high chair
Baby Bjorn sitter
I would also get a rocker/recliner custom upholstered

@anonysquire: wouldn't that REALLY hurt if the baby hit their head?? My son rolls around A LOT and is always banging his head on his crib.

@Coco Bee: I guess you are right. I didn't think of that lol. But it is adorable.

@cocobee do you mean the knit ones?? I love those! i just saw identical ones at our tjmaxx for $50 .. and target sent me some coupons that advertised they'll have something similar this fall (but I don't see them on the website)
I think the only thing I'd change for dream baby gear would be a custom glider and a really nice, antique dresser ... and the Boon high chair!

@scg00387: yup those one!! I love them. They're so cute!
@anonysquire: lol yeah not sure if even bumpers would aid in that?? I wonder what your friend does.

I totally love high end baby stuff! It's not practical but I wish we had nice baby furniture. I got a nice stroller (b ready) and nice car seats. I love my ergo and that was a big splurge.

The only thing I would want would be a bigger nursery! Ours is kind of small...but I'm really happy with all our gear purchases so far.

I know I'd want a fancier stroller, but since I know I can't get one I haven't looked to see which ones are out there. It would just make me sad to see what I'm missing out on.

I love dreaming of things I could buy! I would want either Stokke or DwellStudio furniture (specifically a glider!) and maybe a Madeline Weinrib rug for the nursery. I'd also be a stroller hoarder and get a really good umbrella stroller and the BOB jogging stroller for hubby on top of the UB Vista we already have. Lastly, I love baby carriers and would love to either try the Boba 3G or the Stokke carrier.
We tend to splurge on items we really love but not without finding a super good deal on it. We have the Stokke Tripp trapp and my sister got us the cb2 pouf for Christmas last year.

@Arden: So agreed! I covet all of the Stokke products. I know that I'll save up for the Tripp Trapp, but doubt I'll be able to get Xplory or Sleepi unless they are gifted to us (highly unlikely). But at the slow rate our TTC has been going, maybe I'll have ages to save and be able to get it all

I want a stroller that can work as a double stroller that isn't too heavy. Dream on?

hmmm maybe a comfy loveseat now that olive is really getting too long for the glider!

I look at quality and reviews and choose the best item that fits us regardless of price. Then I track the prices online/at my favorite stores and have been able to get really fabulous prices on the items I wanted. I ended up getting the tripp trapp in the color I wanted (natural) brand new for $150 which isn't bad at all! In fact, I have gotten anywhere from 20% to 70% off of every single baby item I've purchased by keeping an eye on sales and price drops and online coupons. It's a bit of work keeping on top of but it makes me feel great that I'm not compromising on what I really want for something cheaper and yet I'm still paying about as much if not even less than the cheaper items.
Regarding the Xplory, I've heard not so great things about it! I don't understand why it's so expensive. You can't fold it one handed, in fact I think you have to take it apart before it folds? I have a friend who returned it after a week because it was nice and high quality but not as practical in use as many cheaper brands (but then, most brands are cheaper ;p)
