Every year my mom & MIL ask for a wish list for my birthday (early December) and Christmas, and I'm drawing a blank this year! I'm due with my first (a boy!) in February, and most of what comes to mind as stuff I want is stuff that's on the registry. And while I'd be more than thrilled to receive registry items, I'll have at least one shower in January, and I also know that both Mom & MIL will want to know what I want for me, not just for baby...
So,what's on your list? I might want it, too!

I reeeeeally want an Urban Decay Vice 3 palette. Plus, Id love some new foundation. And Ive been dying over the Stila eyeliner in Turquoise and I want to try the Tarte Amazonian clay blushes.
So yeah, a fatty Sephora gift card. hahaha

Ooh! I have a running wish list for everyone in the family on amazon, just to keep track of what we want/need just for this purpose. MIL and parents are always asking us what we need. I want a solar watch (so annoyed with having to change the batteries), a cast iron wok, a Sugar lip balm, a glass bowl for my kitchenaid mixer, and if all else fails, a gift card to Sephora is always amazing.

I want this bag as my main purse. It's similar to my Brooklyn Industries Margarite bag that's seen better days. I'm obsessed with Ju Ju Be as well. I saw this bag in person at a party. I love it more.

This is the first year I actually have a wish lost. Every year I'm like uhh I dunno... when someone asks what I want! But, everything is expensive Haha so I've only told my husband 
New ugg boots, bc mine are 8 years old and completely shot. They're ugly but so warm and our winters are damn cold.
A big azz computer monitor. Drool.
A remote starter for my car. See ugg boots above. Getting two kids in the car 3x a week for school is a pain & I'd love to not have to run out and start my car, making my morning take that much longer!

@HeartAbandoned: You def should think about what you want for yourself esp since you'll have a shower for your baby boy anyway! At my shower someone got us a gift certificate to a super nice restaurant; she said she always wants to spoil the parents & not the child!
LO is due in Dec so we're not really doing gifts with anyone.

I made a wish list on amazon a month or so ago and sent it to my husband and now I feel like everything on it is silly. Clothes, shoes, frivolous stuff. What I REALLY want is a house cleaner twice a month, a prenatal massage, and a good eyebrow wax.

@babycanuck: he gets cash back with discover so we only use it when there's a good cash back amount! Otherwise, we pay cash/debit card. But this is also a business purchase so I'll prob get it myself!

I want a navy leather purse. Hmmmm... what else....a vitamix? Ha ha. I guess I better start thinking. I'll be getting fewer gifts this year because we are doing a family exchange for the first time. We chose names out of a hat. So I'll only get one gift from family and then stuff from DH.

@HeartAbandoned: I think family is okay With my family, no matter if it's birthday or Christmas we just ask if there's something the person actually wants first!
Maybe you can ask for some maternity clothes for that last stretch? Or maybe nursing clothes if you plan to BF? Or maybe a gift certificate for mani/pedi; you can def use it for baby shower or before the baby comes!

I very much want useful/practical things this year. This is what's on my list thus far:
-- a long bathrobe - don't care from where as long as its long and soft
-- I have a ton of art i want to hang around the house, and I have the frames picked out. So, Ikea giftcards so I can buy them
-- Would love a piece of druzzy jewellery from "Wrenn"
-- would love to throw out all my gitch and get new ones, so a La Senza/Victorias Secret giftcard would be awesome
-- Chapters giftcards are always useful (mostly for house stuff as opposed to books)

Do you have a slowcooker? Will make cooking the first few months easier. Do you have a food processor? Great for making baby food!

A new iphone. Mine is really old and the home button doesn't work and it barely holds a charge.
Some decent new clothes. I really want a few high quality basic pieces. I have my eye on severel Boden items from this season.

I treated myself to a very nice robe for the hospital after delivery and it was worth every penny, especially now that I am using it for MOTN feeding times. Perhaps you could ask for something like that - robe, slippers, comfy pants,etc.
