1 thing springs to mind for me. Before I had kids, I would hear other people's stories about poop explosions and kid vomiting and I would just shiver. I have always had a "weak stomach" when it comes to bodily functions. I said several times that if my kids were throwing up, I would have to leave the room. And I imagined myself putting on disposable gloves every time I had to change a poop diaper.

And my husband told me several times when I was pregnant that he would not change diapers. That it was too gross. (Tip: do NOT tell a pregnant woman that you refuse to change diapers if you want to live).

Anyway, we were both wrong. My husband started changing diapers right when the first baby was born and still probably changes more diapers than me to this day. And I have had kids throw up directly on me, and my only concern was how they were feeling.

As it turns out, your own kids' bodily functions aint no thang.

Did you have anything that was not as bad as you were expecting before you had kids?
