I said I'd never give her a bottle or a paci. She's now only formula fed, and doesn't take a paci. Not because I didn't try, she just prefers her thumb.

Nothing I can think of. I learned early never to use the word never

@banana: HAHA. I do say "never" if I'm sure I'll never do it. ie: illegal drugs, sky jumping, bungee jumping, eating bugs, etc.

I said I would never let my living room be overrun with toys. It's getting there ...

i'm sure there's a lot of things but the one i can think of is i thought it was weird to refer to your kid by how many months they are past 12 months....mine is now 17-months-old and i'll probably keep referring to him by months until at least 2.

I said I wouldn't allow binkies (paci) both my girls had them. Then I said I wouldn't allow them to have the binkies past when they were old enough to walk/ask for it...yeah they both had it until at least 2 years old.
I also said I would only do "time-out" for discipline...well that just doesn't always work for every child.
I now know that until you have children you can not say what you will or wont do. You just don't know.

@Grace: good luck with that! You'll go stir crazy I think! Haha, but I'm sure you will figure out the best times to go to the store with baby so as to minimize any crying bursts!
