We all love our pets but in the same breath sometimes they drive us bonkers!
Drives me crazy when she goes on a barking rampage when I'm trying to put M down!

His barking, constant need to be on our laps or touching us, his shedding!

Our dog likes to nose her food bowl around and often throws a whole bunch of kibbles on the floor and then I step on them. Ouch!

Sleeping ON my pillow everytime I get up for night feedings. My 11.5 lb dog is also a blanket hog.

Barking, check. Pretending she's helpless and can't jump on the bed. Panting for no reason. Taking up too much space on the bed. Shaking her neck too loudly and her collar wakes up my lo.
If you can't tell, the dogs are on my short list these days...

Whining. If I block them out of a room with a baby gate so that Prettybaby can have some floor time, they whine and whimper to come back.... makes me crazy!!

@mediagirl: yes to pretending he's helpless and can't get on the bed. Drives me nuts!
Also he needs an audience when he eats, so he'll bark until someone comes into the kitchen.

They like to lick and scratch themselves when it's time for bed! It drives me crazy.

the barking! it's going to be a real issue when lo arrives. he never barks except for when we first get home. he gets SO excited to see us his whole body shakes and he barks like crazy. we tried to get him to stop, but no luck.

She jumps a lot.
Also goes crazy barking whenever someone rings the doorbell

Feeling like he has to lick us constantly, pacing, standing and staring at us, barking at NOTHING. UGH!

She's a huge bed hog! We can eventually get her to move (she plops right down in DH's spot) but she gets stubborn and acts like she doesn't know her commands. Sometimes we have to be so firm with her that she gets the hiccups because we make her so nervous lol!
Also she's awful - A.W.F.U.L. - on the leash.

@mediagirl: LOL our dog does the drama pant. Whenever we take her to the vet or to get her nails clipped, she pants and pants on the way back like, what an ordeal, and then when we look away, she stops!

she is scared to come downstairs so meows loudly in front of the kids' room every night!

My lab mix has been hovering around my face panting whenever I lay on the couch with her hot stinky doggy breath in my face and she won't move! My cockapoo has a habit of trying to nudge my hand when I'm busy with something else so I'll pet him and he won't stop. And my cat likes to follow me in the bathroom and bite my toes while I'm trying to go. Todayshe actually managed to open the bathroom door herself so she could do it!

We have three cats, and they try to walk on E, we constantly find them sleeping in his bassinet/crib/bouncer/swing/on his exercise mat.
I feel awful, but it annoys me to no end when they try to sleep on me. E sleeps half the night in the PnP bassinet. He's really clingy and hates being put down, so that half a night is really the only time he's not attached to me in some way...and I like having that time to have my space, and am annoyed that as soon as he's out of my arms they try to get in them....especially our one boy cat...he's a solidly built (heavy and dense, but not fat) and he likes to do this thing where he just stands on you for several minutes when you're lying down, so all that weight is distributed onto four points of your body. Sometimes he'll lie down, sometimes he'll just stand for a while and then leave. Like seriously, poo or get off the pot a-hole.

One of our cats licks himself SO loudly. It's woken us up before. He also wants to be in our faces all the time, and his "love bites" are seriously painful! Good thing he's adorable.

Our dog likes to lick his paws, but it gets excessive sometimes and starts licking our blanket/couch too. Yuck! He also likes to run away when we leave the front door open. It's a PIA to get him back because he's a jack russell so when he takes off, he's gone!!

Both of them shed so much! There is dog hair everywhere all the time.
Remy vomits for attention. When I hear him starting to retch I always say "here we go again" and roll my eyes. Seriously, it's for attention. He's seen three different vets and he's totally healthy.
Dory chews her dewclaws until they are needle-sharp and then scratches me with them. Once she even gave me a puncture wound on my baby bump!! it took forever to heal.

my dog is still a puppy and she likes to play with every single dog we pass when on a walk, even if she is dragging me and the LO (who is strapped on in the Baby Bjorn) across the sidewalk. She is 50 pounds and stronger than me! Oh yes, and the barking with the buzzer. Ugh!
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
Her constant shedding!!
Oh and how she licks L's face each time I turn my back.

@mrs. wagon: my dog pukes for attention too! It is RIDICULOUS. God forbid DH get up and go get ready for work without making a big stink over the dog first..he will puke immediately. So annoying!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
Everything. He's been particularly challenging since LO was born. Ignoring my commands, getting on furniture, barking nonstop & then standing against me when his bark collar is on so I get sprayed. He gets gated into the dining room now when he has to wear it! So fresh.

Stanlet, our cat, likes to get up on the dining room table and knock shit off of it. In the last week, I've cleaned up a thing of toothpicks and my container of straight pins. Picking straight pins out of a shag rug is NOT fun. He also will not leave my makeup or paintbrushes alone.

Our dog has been driving me insane lately. She whines allllll the time, especially if someone is on "her" couch. She always parks her dirty but on LO's tummy time blankets, and every so often she gets it in her head that our kitchen floor is evil. She'll refuse to walk across it until I'm forcing her to for a potty break. Then she does this weird cautious step which always ends with her sliding and falling which scares her even more.
Our cats have been on the sh!t list lately because they seem to only go bananas when LO is sleeping, this includes them running around, busting into the nursery and high pitched cat fights.
@mediagirl: omg our dog pants for no reason too. Super annoying when she's in your face panting hot dog breath all over you.

When my cat is curled up next to my head and then promptly decides it's time to clean his butthole. And he likes to jump on the staircase railing at the top of the stairs...it's a dangerous balancing act and I'm always concerned he's going to fall off. He just sits up there doing his highwire act and meowing at me.
