our cat meows at the top of the stairs loudly right in front of the kids' rooms when they're sleeping because she's scared to come downstairs and she wants us to come upstairs.

Right now, everything!
He's such a bad beggar it's awful. He also throws up for attention, and lately ignores the no barking commands and wakes up LO.

They like to bring bones into our bed. Nothing grosser than rolling over onto a slobbery bone.

Our dog prefers all the doors in the house open. He'll scratch at a door until it opens or we just open it for him, and then he walks away.

It's not really annoying, but more creepy. Our cat jumps on our new dresser (the annoying part), but then stares at the wall with her nose about 2 inches from the wall and just stares...that's the creepy part. It's a new thing ever since we got this new (ok it's used but refinished) dresser...

He goes bananas anytime someone knocks or rings the door bell. And then proceeds to jump on them once we open the door.

I wish my cat wouldn't use the stair carpet as a scratching post! An the dog is a bad beggar!!

She rubs her eyes on the carpet. She has allergies and they itch. Oh and she humps her bed all the time.

@mrskc: my male dog humps all the time too! Kind of weird, but when we BD he grabs his bed and goes to town..we always bust out laughing.

She comes into bed after eating her Dentastick after her morning walk and smacks her chops for like 15 minutes. It drives me nuts and you can't tell her to stop because she has no idea what she's doing.

Our male does this thing where he nose bumps your arm when you are sitting in a chair hoping to get a scratch. It's SUPER annoying when you have a drink in that hand..... that think usually ends up everywhere :S
Our female had an allergy issue and starting licking her belly and paws. Now she does it out of habit and the sound is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I spend a lot of time shouting "Leah! Stop Licking!!"

@ladyfingers: OMG!! My dog does that too, it's so nasty! We give him those green ones. I hate that noise whether animals or adults are making it. I'm cringing.

one of our cats doesn't know how to 'love' without using her claws... every time she sits on my lap she has to dig them into me!
Fortunately her brother is a big old softy and the total opposite... he'll fall off you before he bothers putting his talons out!

Stands on me when I'm sleeping. Like he's laying claim to me. Sometimes i'll still be asleep and DH will look over and find my cat just standing on me, staring at me, even if I'm on my side.

one of our dogs turns approximately 50 times before deciding that yes, this is the exact spot where she would like to pee. her begging, particularly at my parents' house where she knows the treats are more free-flowing, is also a little out of control.

@edelweiss: lol, my dog does that when he's deciding where to sit.
When our dog was a puppy he liked to sit in the corner of the sofa and love seat. Now he must think that's *his* spot so if DH is sitting there (not sure why DH prefers the floor to the couch), the dog just doesn't know what to do with himself. He'll walk back and forth, stand next to him and just stare at him like an inch from his face until we tell him to just sit or lay down where he is! Then he'll back and forth a few times, circle around another few times before finally plopping down. Imagine a 100 lb dog in front of me that doesn't know what he's doing with his tail trying to do circles between the couch and coffee table in like 2 ft of space when my dinner is on the table or in my hand. =(

Eats her own poop (if anyone has success stopping this, let me know) and whining.
Good thing she's cute.

@Happygal: Urgh!! I had a poop eater (we lost her a couple of years ago). Yuk!!!!!!
My dogs do this weird thing where they lick each other 's faces frantically. It's like they're kissing!!! If I could work out how to post a video on here I'd show you!!!

@Cherrybee: I've kind of made my peace with it. My last dog this as well. We try just to keep the backyard as clean as possible. Please do get a video of the kissy face dogs. That sounds entertaining.

my cat likes to rip apart flower arrangements and then vomits. we don't get flowers often anymore & it destroyed my wedding bouquet after our wedding =(

We have one cat that will make a point to find a piece of dark clothing or a dark blanket and sleep on it. She's a bad shedder, and she's all white. The whole bed can be open for her to sleep on and she will curl herself in a tiny ball to sleep entirely on the black cardigan I threw on the bed.
Another one sleeps on DH pretty much whenever he's sitting/lying down, and glares at me whenever I snuggle up to him. I keep telling her that he was mine first, and I'll always be his favorite, lol.

She eats my underwear, I'm about to go crazy if she gets another pair. She knows she's not supposed to do it (this morning when I caught her with a pair she went straight to her kennel) but she hasn't stopped doing it! I'm getting very upset!

Our dog nibbles on the bed. Not enough to do any damage, just lightly uses her front teeth and goes to town. It's getting worse and worse, and it's so annoying!
GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts
@jessiejo17: That would be annoying
My great dane is usually good, but it's really annoying when he licks his chops - he always seems to do it at night.
My ridgeback does a lot of stuff to annoy us. He'll stand and stare at us until we give him what he wants (food, going to bed, treat before we leave...) He also is an obsessive licker. He always licks people - it's so annoying.

The big annoying thing my cat does is that she lures people into petting her and then attacks them. She is very hostile but pretends to be all lovey so people will reach for her – and then out come the claws! (actually, to give her credit, she has been a lot better about this since we moved. She even let 1 person actually pet her the other day and didn’t attack).
She also meows at us repeatedly when she wants to go downstairs/upstairs but is too fraidy-cat to go to a different floor of the house on her own.
Our cat also begs for food from plates and if you don't hurry up and give her some of your food fast enough, she will stand up against you and paw at your plate (or straight up steal off your plate).

Our dog eats or rolls in other animals poop whenever possible. Nothing makes him happier.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@yoursilverlining: OMG! my cat totally begs too and he'll sit and fall asleep right beside you waiting. Sometimes if it smells good or he gets impatient he will totally try to pull a bowl or plate towards him. My husband finds this totally annoying, and I think with ANY other animal I would too, but I just love him so much and think it's so smart of him to try and pull a bowl towards him that I find it cute. It's soooo bad, but I just can't help but giggle every time!
eggplant / 11824 posts
@.twist.: Haha that’s hilarious; our cat does the “pull the plate towards you” trick with her paw sometimes too. I laugh too because she will come over and rub all over me and purr so loudly and then sort of jump a little and look at the plate like “oh my! Why I didn’t notice you had some fish/meat right here, but since I’m here…” when it’s totally obvious she is only being lovey in the first place so that she will get fed!! soooo naughty, but so cute.
She also LOVES licking greek olives so we have to watch her at parties because we usually have a bowl of those for appetizers and she will be found over the bowl licking all the olives and hissing at people.
