I really liked the episode of House where Amber dies:
That's the first time I ever heard that song, Iron & Wine's Passing Afternoon... I love it now.
I also loved the Sherlock episode with Irene Adler, "A Scandal in Belgravia." Maybe not as profound, but entertaining.
I also loved the first season episode of the Sopranos where Christopher Moltisanti asks, "Where's my arc?" (The Legend of Tennessee Moltisanti) I quote that all the time...

I have too many but most recently, it was the season 3 finale of downton abbey. I rewatched that last scene in the hospital where Matthew meets his son for the first time and tells his wife she'll always be her Mary a few times, and bawled like a baby each time!

It's got to be an episode of Friends. I really like the season 5 finale, The One in Vegas. It has Joey's identical hand twin, Monica and Chandler almost get married, phoebe has her run in with the old lady slot machine lurker and Rachel and Ross get married!

@mrbee: I NEVER watched house, but the other night at work I was sitting with a suicidal patient and they turned it on. It was the episode before that one and the episode where Amber dies, holy cow those episodes where good!

My So Called Life maybe the episode was called " boiler room" because they were making out in there a lot or something, but at the end of the episode Jordan holds Angela's hand in front of people in school. My 13 year old heart still swoons just thinking about it. Bad boy goes for nice girl, it's a theme that never gets old for me.

@chopsuey119: Yay Friends!! One of my faves is the one where everybody finds out -- "But they don't KNOW we know they know we know..." And then when Chandler and Phoebe have to hit on each other...so funny! I also love when Monica proposes to Chandler. I cry every time!
Aside from Friends, the episode of Buffy when her mom dies is just so well done. I can't watch it more than the one time, though, because it's so sad.

@mrbee: I loveeee that episode of House! I didn't realize how attached I was to Cutthroat Bitch until she died. 
My very favorite episode of any show is the last episode of Season 3 (Crossroads) in Battlestar Galactica. Starbuck comes back and says she's found Earth AND you find out who the final five Cylons are! It was amazing. Makes me want to rewatch the whole series just thinking about it!

I enjoyed the season finale of Grey's when that shooter came into the hospital and shot Derrick. I was scared that whole episode! The plane crash sucked.

@ladyfingers: ditto. SFU series finale is the best episode of TV my husband and I have ever watched. Bar none. Nothing else has come close. That ending scene is still burned into my memory!
