Made this chocolate cake as both a layer cake and cupcakes, and LOVE it. I don't even like cake particularly and I ate 4 cupcakes in one day. DH says it's his new favorite and he wants it for his birthday. A couple other people said they were the best cupcakes they've had. I did a really easy marshmallow buttercream with it, and it was delicious. Though side note, I always feel weird getting all these compliments on something like this. I didn't make up the recipe or anything!

@lovehoneybee: That is the only way we roast chicken! It's a perfect technique!

I also made these today, but I had to wait until my friend got here to report how they are. She says they're very good! I HATE peanut butter, so I wasn't about to try them. I will say that they cooked up very nicely with almost no spreading, which is important in a cutout cookie. (And picture of my first stage of decorating, because I can. )

I made this cauliflower, coconut and lime soup. It was easy and good. I used my immersion blender to blend it, and used a cup of coconut milk instead of the half cup for more coconut flavor.

I am a recipe tweaked. I admit it. But credit where credit is due!

I use this banana bread recipe but I use browned butter - makes it soooo good. I've added mini choc chips and/or topped with chopped pecans and both are fab.

I make Hyacinth's version of Drip Beef in the crockpot but add bell pepper slices to the crockpot 30 minutes before eating. I serve it on butter toasted hard rolls with a side of jus and it's my husband's favorite meal.

I just had this for my birthday cake but used 3/4 of the sugar called for bc I don't like sweet cakes. Used cream cheese frosting instead (cuz I had some) and topped with almond slivers and tons of fresh blueberries. So moist and delicious!

I also made these cookies this weekend and they are really good! I used dried cherries and dark chocolate with half the batch, and pecans and semisweet chocolate for the other half (again it's what I had). Even better the next day after sitting in a Ziploc overnight!
