The longest trip I've been on is 16 hours. That's how long it takes to drive from my mom's house to mine.

When I was 3 my family drove cross-country, from York, PA to Spokane, WA. We took several days, stopping at various place along the way.
Every other year, we drive out to Michigan for Thanksgiving, which is 8 hours (used to be 10 until they raised the speed limits).
Longest on my own (or me doing the driving, anyway) was 11 hours from Pittsburgh to Boston, with a quick stop in State College to pick up a friend!

For a One way trip, 14 hours from Seattle to San Francisco. Or 12 hours to Glacier national park in Montana.
We took a long 15 day road trip from Seattle. Hit 7 states and racked up 5,100 miles. Farthest state we reached was Las Vegas, Nevada and up through Utah then headed back to Seattle.

East coast of Australia, Cairns to Melbourne. I had a bit of time to do it, but there were some long overnight coach journeys in there.

In college, my dad and I drove from Chicago to Irvine, CA and back. I had an internship out there and needed the car.
About six years ago, a friend and I took a road trip from New York to Chicago. And by friend, I mean unrequited love (this is pre-DH). That was a little bit too much emotional turmoil for me!

Hmmm, as a kid my family did a couple weeks road trip all over the west coast. Oh, and we drove to Montana quite a few times, which was 12-16 hours. Last summer, DH, the kids, and I went to Montana, which was 16 hours, for the first leg of the trip. It actually went really well!

26 hours one way, it was brutal, we broke it up into 2 days, it was me and 2 friends, it was a cross between a fun/ awesome/ one time experience, and misery, haha.

I was four. We drove from Tennessee to New Mexico in a little red Neon. That's five people (one of whom was over six feet four) in a tiny car across country.
The second longest was probably our trip from Tennessee to Maine, then Tennessee to South Carolina. The rest of the time, we fly

When I was in middle school maybe?, I went on a road trip with my parents and lil brother. We drove to Chicago, then Michigan didn't seem far so we drove there, then Toronto was RIGHT there so why not!, then to Niagara Falls, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, then back to OK!
Hubby and I drove from Denver, CO straight to Kansas City, MO during our spring break of 2007 just to have Food Network's #1 BBQ recommendation for lunch. I think that was about a 9 hour drive. Just for BBQ. Oh the days of being young and gas was cheap!!

About 18 hours - Nashville to Boston. We usually split it over two days and it really isn't bad. But we won't be doing it again any time soon now that we have a baby!

DH and I drove across the US, Portland, OR-Boston. Even though we did it in 3 days it was still fun and I hope to do it again once DD is older, with more stops.
