Oh wow! 9 days IS a long time!!! I'm sorry!!! At least he'll be with your husband and family and will probably have a blast! Try to fill your time with lots of girly stuff and pedicures and hair cuts, etc!
The longest I've gone is only 2 days. It was rough, but I had so much fun being able to relax and do whatever I wanted to! I hope you're able to enjoy some of your time apart!

@Adira: well, the reason they picked this week is because I have two overlapping summer classes that are really intense! So I'm pretty overwhelmed and since DH hasn't seen his family in a long time, it made sense to make it for this two week class overlap. I'm pretty stressed out but I'm soooo gonna miss my boys

@Mrs. Pen: At least you'll be busy, so hopefully the time will just FLY by!! But you're definitely going to miss them! I'm sorry!!!

That is a long time! Stay busy.
The longest will be today at around 8 hours because I go back to work.

@Mrs. Pen: 9 days is so long
I haven't been away from Chloe for more than overnight.. Maybe dropped her off at 6 and picked her up at 8am?!
I'm nervous leaving her when the baby comes!

Oh wow I'd be emotional, too! The longest I've been away is just while I'm at work. So...9-10 hours?

3 days, for a work trip. DH and I are going away on a vacation sans kids in September. We'll be gone for 5 days, which will be the new record.

Just a regular work day.
I took LO to visit my family over thanksgiving. It was 4 days and it was pretty rough on DH.

@Mrs. Pen: wow 9 days is long. Make sure DH sends lots of pictures!
I went away for a scrapbooking retreat in march for a weekend. LO was only 7 months so it felt like a really long time. Pumping around the clock wasn't much fun!
DH and I are going to Cleveland for 3 days in August. That will be his first time away from her!

Only 9 hours for me, while he's at daycare, and I miss him like crazy! I like @Adira 's suggestion to plan a few girly activities like a pedicure, or laying on the couch for an hour and reading a silly tabloid magazine
Sounds like you'll be pretty busy with your classes this week. Maybe you can schedule a video chat or two during the week to see your guys? I'd miss mine too!

@Grace:
Lots of love and luck to you as you integrate back in to the working world!

10 hours or so!
I couldn't imagine 9 days but I hope you can make the best of it, even though you'll be missing your sweet boy and DH! Maybe treat yourself to a nice relaxing evening (or just enjoy going to the bathroom with the door shut!)

Ummm 3 hours, maybe?! Mama needs a night out!
She's 10 months and won't take a bottle.

Oh dang! 9 days is quite the time, but at least you can focus on your classes and knock them out! Hope the time passes super quick and they'll be home before you know it!
Longest I've been away is during the work day.

We went out to dinner once for about 3 hours. I cried. Then I had a glass of wine and that helped.
I can't even fathom 9 days away, but they're only 8 weeks old. I bet J will have a great time visiting family though!

Just overnight. I am not sure I could do more than 3 days unless my husband was there, in all honesty.

Two weeks for D. He's gone with his dad or my parents on long trips.
M stayed at my parents' house while I was having my gall bladder problems, but my mom brought him to the hospital daily to visit.

2 days.
My husband is gone 5-7 days (in a row) every month. He makes my promise to send at least 3 photos a day and we Skype every evening before LO goes to bed.
Hugs!

About 18 hours overnight. I have a conference to go to in October and I'll be gone for 5 days. I'm not looking forward to it, honestly

A little over two days (Friday AM to Sunday evening after thy went to bed so really felt like 3 days). They had just turned one. It was fantastic! Can't wait to do it again, LOL!

So far not very long, went to a wedding a couple weeks ago and he was probably awake for about 3-4 hours we were gone and then was in bed. Total that was about 6-7 hours. At the end of the month I'm going on a girls weekend from Friday night -Sunday morning. I'm so nervous
pomegranate / 3895 posts
The work day, so 8.5-ish hours. I haven't left her overnight yet.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@sweetooth: yes! We plan to FaceTime every night at J's bedtime
@looch: at this age I wouldn't leave him this long Unless it was just DH too.

aw, that would be tough! Hopefully school keeps your mind busy and the time flies!
I've only been away from L for about 9 - 10 hours, but when we went to visit my parents DH was away from us for 7 days, so he missed us like crazy! Skyping is definitely helpful!

3 nights. Girls weekend last weekend. It was tough. She had fun with dh and his parents though.

8-9 hours. Not long, really. I haven't had a reason to leave her for longer yet...though I'm not really sure I'd want to

5 days. We went on a babymoon without him in February. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but I think that was mostly due to the fact that he was with his grandparents and having a great time.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
Just a few hours... maybe 4 - 5 hours?
@Mrs. Pen: 9 days is so long
Hopefully the time will fly by for you.

9 days while we were on vacation/working. I missed him but he was having a blast with his grandparents. He's stayed with them several other times for 4-5 days as well. Frequent pictures and updates help!
