My Dh and I don't fight often, but when we do it's usually always about my husband's lack of temper control. When he gets in a bad mood, he just snaps at everyone around him. I argue with him about that probably the most.

We don't fight often but I argue with him about taking on too many responsibilities outside of our family that prevents him from spending with WITH out family.

I would have to say his short temper, he tends to take his work stress out on me and that doesn't fly with me 
We are both very stubborn as well, which makes arguing difficult as nothing usually comes of it.

he always comments about my short temper. my husband purposely gets me annoyed though! i can't help it. plus, he gets upset when the house gets too messy. even with the cleaner. he wants her to come twice a week.

We don't really fight about small things, but we did have a huuuuuge disagreement when we first got married.
We've worked through it now, but until a couple of months ago, we fought about where we live. Long story short, within weeks of DH graduating with his bachelor's in education, he decided he didn't want to teach. He wanted to be a manager at McDonald's. And we HAD to live in this one area because the franchise was based out of 2 counties. I was miserable because I had to quit my job, look for another one, and all my friends/family were an hour away. DH said since we weren't married yet (this decision to change careers was made 2 weeks before our wedding) he didn't feel like he needed to discuss it with me.
Yes., very frustrating Thankfully, he's back on track for teaching and he's agreed to move back this fall.

I think probably the biggest thing we fight about is his lateness. He is constantly late and it makes me SO mad and then he gets mad at me for nagging him and telling him to hurry up and get out the door!!! It's frustrating because almost every time we go somewhere we end up being a secret fight the whole time because we got so heated trying to leave!

Mainly his long list of to do's that don't get done...ahem, in a timely manner. For him, that I nag. LOL. But if he did those things once in a while then maybe I wouldn't nag. Vicious circle.

His short temper and lack of help around our house. It can be overwhelming with all the pets we have and plus fostering animals. Sometimes I need help beyond taking care of them and help with the mess they make in the house. <sigh>

@MamaMoose: This exactly. My husband is always late. Our problem is that there are other responsibilities he has that he makes it a point to show up on time (though he runs late to those occasionally)--but things that matter to me, he is usually late to. Then he gets upset and asks, "Why are you always rushing me?" UM BECAUSE YOU'RE ALWAYS LATE, DUDE!
@Rubies: And the second thing we argue about is how many responsibilities he has outside of the home that he takes on. We actually had a long talk before bed and I told him I was really worried that I was going to be on my own with this baby. He felt really bad about it 
but he got what I was saying

we tend to fight when DH drinks. I was never a drinker, and his family are VERY social drinkers, so he grew up thinking it's totally normal. He's not a mean drinker, actually quite affectionate (unless it's southern comfort..that's no longer allowed!). it just gets under my skin for some reason and I pick fights with him.
he also snores horribly when he drinks.

The only really major subject of fights have been about family (extended family... his mom... my parents... etc). Rob Sr. gets very defensive about his mom and it's always been a huge issue for us. But it's so much better now. Years 2-4 were horrible. Now that we're onto year 6 we're like, whatever. Haha.

Hubs and I fight mostly about our house. It needs a million upgrades/repairs and is way too small for our growing family. He was a bachelor when he bought it and has lived there 15 years before he met me so it's hard for him to realize it's not realistic for our family. We agree now that we need more room so hopefully the arguments are gone for good soon!!

@Andrea: Do you live in my house? lol! He has a honey-do-list that he gets done in his own sweet time and I'm more of a get it done now girl. Especially now that I'm pregnant, some things I just can't do (clean up, stack and store the camping gear in our garage) and I just have to stare at it all. If I ask him to do it over and over, I'm a nag.
I've asked him before to tell me the right way to ask for things, and he honestly doesn't know, which is the biggest problem. When he realised that there is no right way for me to ask him to help out or do a task around the house he was really perplexed. We've tried lists, we've tried ask once and leave it, we've tried reminders....... I fear that this is something we'll have to deal with forever! lol!

@tina; We used to fight about that too. It was more of like "Why do we do that for your mom but not my mom". That type of thing. But over time, we realized that we need to be on the same side for this to work. And I didn't want to raise my kids up in a my family/your family environment so we worked it out. Glad you guys worked it out too!

@prettylizy: i know, crazy right? i have 3 lists for him. 1) do it now 2)short term 3)long term. and even for the "do it now" items i have to tell him/email him/text him/something to get them done. i keep these lists on a whiteboard at home. my list is almost always empty since i do everything right away and his side is a mile long! so really, to any outsider looking at it - it seems like i give him all the work!

His job. He's a civilian, but his job deploys 6 months a year (to combat zones, no less). I've tried to get him to apply to a job that deploys less, or start school, or something that doesn't guarantee that, at some point, he will be a stranger to our children. He's only applied to 3 jobs in a 4 month job hunt. Not a big deal until I'm pregnant, but I don't want to be a single mom half the time. We also argued about childbirth, until it came out that he thought ALL births were like Bradley method births (we wanted the same thing, he just didn't realize how to get it.)

Before we got married we fought about money a lot but we got our debt taken care of and he's learned to stay out of my spending money. Now, we fight every once in a while about eating better. He eats really really well, I eat pretty
well but I do have some treats and he doesn't get it. We also fight about sex. I'm surprised no one has said this! Its not unhealthy, every few months we'll fight, but he has the libido of a 14 year old still haha.

Household chores! The only thing I ask him to really do is dishes, but he ALWAYS waits until every single one is dirty (no dish washer). And I have to ask him constantly to do them. Or if I am cleaning he rarely offers to help. He says I need to ask, but I don't think I should have to. haha. Especially if it's his only chore!

We rarely fight but the last few times have been about a certain traumatic incident regarding his parents and how he handled it. It was a really hard time for me and it's something that I can't easily forget, but we're more on the same page now, so there's really no fuel for future arguments (about that anyway).
