Yea I don't join in any of that but I also hate when its all pictures of your kid (or your dog, or whatever). Mix it up some folks!
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
I hate when people straight up ask for opinions ("Am I being crazy?" or "What do you think when...") and then lose their minds when people actually give an opinion. Or when people post four-paragraph woe-is-me statuses.
pea / 16 posts
For me, it's the "Save this in your news feed or you'll regret it" recipes that people post on Facebook that make me batty! That is what Pinterest is for!
honeydew / 7586 posts
"Oh my god you're in the other room but I miss you oh-so-much!"
-"No, I miss you so much!"
-"Oh baby, I'm so lucky I found you!"
Vomit.

@redsmarties: that! I have a HS friend who is constantly posting woe is me posts, but when people offer legitimate suggestions or gentle criticisms, she goes bananas.
Also, the vague, emo posts where you can hear the dramatic sighs and then 18 people comment 'what happened???'
pear / 1769 posts
@rahlyrah: ditto. Those are the worst.
Political nonsense is second most annoying and then the football game day madness with rants about refs and such.
blogger / pomegranate / 3491 posts
@rahlyrah: hahahahaha yes. This. Exactly this. I find that these are the friends I have had who end up really being in the less happy relationships....my two friends who used to do this both are in the midst of separation/divorce.
grapefruit / 4823 posts
@rahlyrah: haha these drive me nuts!! Like don't you talk to each other at home?!?!?
I hate people who do nothing but complain...about everything!!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Political posts (I blocked my own Uncle because of these.)
Vague posts "I hate feeling unappreciated" but then when promoted "why" (because we all know that is what they want) they refuse to respond because "it's personal"
Negative life posts...my life sucks/why me/ect. ugh BLOCK
And "I LOVE YOU" posts -- who in my opinion are people who are trying to overcompensate for their crappy marriage/relationship. We all know it's for show people!
Sometimes I wonder why I stay on it, but I enjoy the pictures of friends and family that don't live close!
pomegranate / 3521 posts
All of these things ... That is why I no longer have a Facebook account.
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@redsmarties: haha. I see that a lot on here, too.
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
Too much posting. I had to hide a few friends and neighbors because they post 15+ times a day.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
Novels and negative posting.
Keep your advice to a soundbite. You are not a preacher. Keep your relationship issues/ heter feelings and opinions off FB. You sound bitter.
pomegranate / 3577 posts
@LuLu Mom: I can't friend 99% of my family because of this. I would go insane! I love them, but I don't love their politics.
grapefruit / 4862 posts
I agree with the above, of course! But my biggest facebook "kryptonite" is when people post things CLEARLY for the attention of them. Like posting something to your significant other's wall that you could just text them... or um, SAY to them. You clearly want everyone to see your "thank you for making me breakfast in bed, smoochie bear!" post. Or the "feel bad for me" posts- those rants/complaints are more twitter appropriate IMHO. (I am so picky, apparently.)
persimmon / 1331 posts
Almost everything! Using your FB like Pinterest. Keep your recipes, ecards, memes, etc on Pinterest!! Long diatribes and vague posts baiting people to ask "what's wrong?" Or "what's going on?" I really would just delete FB if it wasn't the easiest way to keep in touch with family and friends who are out of state. Such a catch 22!
bananas / 9973 posts
I hate when people are always Debbie-Downers in their posts. Once in awhile I get it. We all need to gripe. But every other post, ever day. ugh.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@Ash: this. Facebook posts are my Facebook kryptonite! Didn't used to be that way, but I come away from there so sad anymore that it's almost not worth it.
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
When people write everything they've done all day long. I have "friends" that do this almost every day and it's so annoying! "Woke up, drank my coffee, got stuck in traffic on the way to work. Ate a turkey sandwich for lunch and spilled mayo on my skirt. Drove home and ate enchiladas for dinner. Now I am about to take a shower then go to bed. Nighty night!" Gahhh I hate it!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@mediagirl: Ditto to too much posting I do not want to login and see one person blowing up my newsfeed! ha
@redsmarties: I stay away from those things on both FB and here. I feel like people ask for opinions but every response is shot down because it's not what they want to hear

I'm taking a facebook hiatus and I have to say it's been fabulous. Not ready to make a permanent break, but it's tempting...
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
Share if you care posts. People's daily life play by play. The same type of status over and over and over. Vague status'.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
@kjpugs: haha I totally 100% agree with your post too! My BIL/SIL are constantly posting smoochy kisses and lovies to each other's wall...and it just seems so..forced? for show? I guess I just don't understand why couples don't just talk in real life!
@mrs. 64: I've found myself posting less and less lately... I'm tempted to take a hiatus as well, but it sucks me back in 0_0
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@Bookish: I have someone in my life who is the same way. ALWAYS posting stuff to her husband's wall, or about her husband. ONE TIME- just ONCE- her husband posted some nice thing about her (how she made him breakfast, or got up early with their kid, or something) and then the husband posted something girlie on a friend's status... and then the girl posted "whoops I posted that while logged in on XX's acct." AKA I'm sure she posted the "my wife is so great" comment too, haha. I hate when people are obsessed about how they look on facebook!
watermelon / 14206 posts
I have a cousin that posts non specific "haters be hating" posts. Its really lame. There's a few more ppl that do it too but she's the worst culprit.
watermelon / 14206 posts
OH, and I hate it when I or someone else puts a nice post up and some old man ruins the sentiment with their redneck comments.
honeydew / 7586 posts
Oh, can I add political/sanctimommy memes that are not at all factually correct?
coconut / 8681 posts
Definitely the vague posts that are just looking for reactions...
"This sucks." Etc.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
All of the above plus the old wives tales/urban legends/"post this or you will die/have horrible luck forever." Gross. reminds me of old chain emails from middle school. Actually, MOST things about FB remind me of middle school
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
When people ask for advice and then have an excuse for why each piece of advice won't work! I don't ever offer advice, but it is frustrating to read.
clementine / 984 posts
@lawbee11: Haha, that was my mom until my siblings and I sat her down and gave her a quick Facebook etiquette lesson. No one needs to know what you had for breakfast and when, Ma.
Most everything posted above: the vaguebooking, the political hot-button meme posts that people have no clue about, etc. I do like a sprinkling of a "I love my SO/SO was so nice" posts, but genuine ones, not the ones for show every day or the people who post as their SO (it's obvious). Or shared FB accounts…odd.
ETA- and GROSS photos that are just up in my feed. NO! I don't want to see a giant zit, NO I don't want to see a freaky spider, etc.
papaya / 10473 posts
@rahlyrah: YES. omg. Memes. They kill me.
I probably irritate some (ok, a lot) of people with my pics of DS, but they are for my grandparents who live 6 hours away. But I've started posting them as "family only" to spare everyone else
pineapple / 12526 posts
Politics, because the 99% of people who know the least about how the government actually works are doing 99% of the posting.
Whiny, "woe is me", and constant negativity. I've blocked people for this. It's really obnoxious.
Status updates about every. single. thing. you do in your day. " Woke up and peed!" "Eating some awesome breakfast burritos!" Etc, you get the point.
pineapple / 12526 posts
@rahlyrah: OMG, the sanctimommy memes. "I want to drunk formula, said no baby ever." STFU, for real. You're dumb. I hate judgmental parenting shit on FB, period.
grapefruit / 4291 posts
@loveisstrange: I've never heard of a breakfast burrito but it sounds tasty...
