I like liquid All free and clear. Ecos for our cloth diapers.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
We use Seventh Generation and currently Charlie's Laundry Powder for our diapers, although I'm debating trying something else.

i LOOOVE Dreft since getting it for LO - I've started washing all of my clothes with it also since it smells so fantastic. Pre baby I loved tide.

@hellobeeboston: do you find tide is too strong for baby clothes?
I have never heard of a lot of these before. I honestly didn't realize there were SO many different kinds! LOL!

I love the tide pods. We just picked up some liquid tide so I hope it smells good. I love any scented detergent!
Embarrassing tmi but we have done like 15 loads and have 20 more to finish this weekend- don't ask. So the whole house smells like the pods and I'm loving it!

@.twist.: I haven't used Tide on any of his clothes...
One time I used a stain remover that wasn't the Dreft stain remover that I have, on one outfit. When I put that one outfit on him his back & chest broke out in a little rash, so I'm just sticking with Dreft from here on out.

We use Ecos for almost everything. The only things I don't use it for are our workout clothes - for those I use Tide Sport with Febreze.
pomelo / 5820 posts
Tide Sport, it smells nice and fresh. We will probably switch to a free and clear kind of detergent once LO is here.

Tide and dreft, I add borax to both too. I was using seventh generation but we have a crappy washer and it wasn't cleaning our clothes.

@anonysquire: the liquid stuff does not smell as good as the pods. seriously. crack.
@hellobeeboston: ah! That makes sense and I would have done the same!
honeydew / 7909 posts
I like Tide with Febreeze but I just made my own detergent so I won't be buying any Tide for a looooooong tiiiiiiiiiiiime.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@hergreenapples: We're an Ecos family as well. Why don't you use it for workout clothes?
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@Alivoo01: I did use it on my workout clothes for a long time, but was continually disappointed because it doesn't get the stinkiness out The Tide I use on our workout clothes now is specifically for sportswear.

I use the pod things - whatever's on sale at Target. It's easier to store in a small apartment

I have very sensitive skin and the only brand I can use is Tide Free and Gentle. Everything else breaks me out. I can tell when people don't use it because my skin hurts (ex: sleeping at a hotel or at a friends house).

Method...I just love the pump instead of having to measure it in the cap! They also have fabric softener that you spray on your clothes once they are in the dryer, and it really cuts down on static.

Kirkland signature eco-friendly/free and clear. Dh has sensitive skin.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
I only use All Free and Clear. I hate detergent with fragrance, DH loves it but I do the laundry so I win Plus now we don't have to buy detergent special for baby
coconut / 8854 posts
@anonysquire: I don't think I even own enough clothes to do that much laundry!!
I make my own laundry detergent! I have sensitive skin, so I have to be really careful with any scents booo!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@MrsBrewer: you don't want to. Seriously laundry for days. I don't know where to put everything!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Tide Free and clear for our stuff and Dreft for LO's clothes.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@MrsBrewer: no, I wish I was that exciting! Just cleaned out our guest room and were rewashing all the clothes we were storing. And washing all our comforters, curtains, towels, everything!

I'm allergic to everything, so Seventh Generation free and clear. I'll add borox to anything that might have my husband's clothes in it, since he works outside.

@anonysquire: Must be getting ready for spring with all of that spring cleaning!!
pomelo / 5321 posts
I like Gain Apple Mango Tango. It smells so good! We still use Dreft for LO's clothes because I love how it smells. It lasts a long time now that he's older and not going through a ton of clothes each day.
coconut / 8861 posts
Tide Free and Clear for our clothes. I wash LO's clothes and bedding in Dreft. If I have a chance to go to Target with the car, I'll get the Up & Up version of Dreft. My mom has it and works just as well as the branded stuff.

I use Nellie's all natural laundry soda. It's hypoallergenic and non-scented. I like how our clothes smell after washing.
