@GreenThumb: thank you! I love the dresses, they're super cute! I'm jealous I don't know why but sewing clothes intimidates me!

@josina: ️ Thanks! I just love love to decorate and if I think I can make something for cheaper, I'm all about it! No joke I get on etsy and look at stuff and am like I can do that! Or I walk around hobby lobby and copy them too

@lawbee11: I don't really have a points card but seriously considering it. How do you utilize it to get most points? Just buy lots of stuff
I don't have much time for hobbies lately. I listen to a lot of podcasts, read, and workout. I really love outdoor things though.

@Smurfette: wine counts. Especially collecting the corks
I enjoy running and sewing but in a former life. I'm determined to get back to it. I also enjoy DIY projects and keeping up my flower beds.
ETA: geocaching/hiking too!

@Eko: I use different cards for different purchases because some have higher percentages for cash back/points than others depending on the type of purchase. I also shop through shopping portals (super easy way to earn miles on purchases you'd make anyways) and I use the United MileagePlus X app whenever I can. There are other ways but those are some big ones!

I play with a local string orchestra. Violinist, going on 24 years now. I also love to garden and excited that DH is putting in new tiered beds for me this week at our new home!

@Smurfette: Wine is totally my hobby!
I'm in grad school. That's pretty much my hobby right now. One day I'll have time for other interests again, I hope!

I love blogging for fun, but don't have time for it these days. Otherwise I just love going on new adventures. I love change and excitement!

I sew when I have to but it's not very enjoyable for me because I am not patient enough. I love finding recipes to bake that are low sugar or use natural substitutes for sugar. I also love to read but haven't been doing a ton of that lately.
Oh and hellobee-ing

I used to read, craft (sewing some but my machine is crap and it makes every project stressful), and bake. I think now baking for me is still a hobby but having a kid has made it more of a necessity than fun. I don't have much energy to put into anything these days but I hope after lo 2 I'll get back to normal. I love making things and I'm not too picky about what it is!

@MaisyMay: Baking also! I want to learn to do decorated cookies a bit more, but we are decent at cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops. Do you take classes in the area?
I would love to pick up sewing, photography, and graphic design if I can find more me time.

I have a few hobbies:
Volunteering, crafting and traveling are the biggest ones. I never thought of it as a hobby before, but like a few others here, I am obsessed with cc points and using them for vacations – I try to pay for vacations with points or other rewards and I’ve been pretty successful at it! So, I guess that’s another hobby.
Almost every weekend I help transport rescue dogs from the south up to northern New England and Canada; and I also do some short-term fostering. I’ve transported dogs ranging from a 100+ mastiff/pittie mix to a 3lb. 15 year old blind Chihuahua. Puppies along with their nursing mamas, sweet seniors, dogs who have lived their entire life in a shelter and are finally getting a home of their own and dogs whose backgrounds make me want to cry.
Numerous dogs I’ve transported have been pulled just hours before they were scheduled to be put to sleep due to overcrowding. Every single dog has been awesome. Every single dog has shown nothing but trust, love and affection. Many of them are so in need of love and comfort that (regardless of their size!) they want to ride literally in my lap the entire time.
I also make fleece blankets for various Boxer dog rescue groups with a FB group called Blanketing Boxers with Love, and I make fleece dog and cat beds and donate them to our local animal shelters.
I also make dollhouse miniatures and am a member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (although post-LO I don’t have as much time for this as I really need).
This dog pictured is a senior chi who was saved within minutes of being put to sleep. He was literally pulled from the line of dogs at the Miami shelter about to walk to their end. Now he has a home and a family who adore him.

I knit! This is my current project:
It doesn't look like much right now, but once it's finished, the elastic is in, and it's dyed (I'm using an undyed yarn and plan to dye it rose quartz), it will hopefully look more like the one in the pattern: http://www.loveknitting.com/us/tutu-knitting-pattern-by-monika-sirna.
I also enjoy photography but need to devote a lot more time to it -- I just don't have much time available right now.

@Boogs: I took a basics class at the Joann's in Concord a few years ago and a 2 day class at Cordon Bleu in SF last summer. A lot of it is self taught though, YouTube videos, blogs, etc. If you want to see a little more of what I have done, my fb acct for baking is daisybakesca.
