Boys Nicholas (Nickname Nico) and Skyler (no nickname). Had a really hard time naming them both. Boy names are hard! Skyler was risky b/c there are also girl Skylar (with an "a") but we both liked it.

@regberadaisy: Thanks! Not a big story. I didn't want a name of any kid I've ever taught as a teacher. We both liked unusual names, but disliked 'weird' names. It was hard for us to agree on one name though.
One day we were watching tv and a character's name was Nico and DH thought it was cool and asked what I thought. The only association I had with it was that Nico was the winner of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, season 1, and we had both liked that dancer. (By the way, I'm a dancer). So, Nico it was!
Now we hear Nico all the time. DH watches Formula One race cars and there are TWO Nico drivers. And since then I've seen 2 more characters on TV shows named Nico. But he's the only Nico we know.
Lots of people ask me if he was named after the SYTYCD Canada dancer and I usually say, 'in a way'. -
Carson. Our little girl will be Callie...and lil' CB randomly picked it himself and kept referring to his baby sister-to-be as Baby Callie, and it stuck.
I have no idea where he got it from, but it grew on us and I love the story behind it!

except, when we asked about it to our friends who weren't familiar with the biblical Micah, they all thought it was a girl's name! So we decided against it
