We took our 2 year old and our 4 year old out today without a stroller. We walked 5 blocks or so to a bus stop, took the bus to the museum, walked a few more blocks... and then reversed the trip a few hours later.
It wasn't so bad! However, the trip would have been soooo much easier with a stroller. That said, Charlie is 4 years old and we'd like to start using the stroller less and less over the coming years! I'm ok with him being in the stroller for long trips, but for short trips I'm hoping he can walk and use public transportation. At some point though, I'd like to ditch the stroller entirely... just not sure what that point should be.
What's your mental age limit for strollers?
