@Mrs. Tricycle 's post today had me thinking about combinations i wear all the time. my go-to "uniform" tends to be skinny jeans (in a variety of colors!), a baggier sweater, ballet flats, and chunky statement jewelry.
what's your "uniform"?

I love a pair of flare jeans and then a cotton top with a nursing bra underneath and a pair of ballet flats. I used to be all about wedges and heels but that has changed with LO. I'm clumsy so I don't trust myself with him in heels.

@Mrs. Cowgirl: we're uniform twins :).
Skinny jeans or leggings, flats or my Hunter boots these days (soon-to-be my new moccasins once the rain goes away!), and looser fitting sweaters / cardigans.

I think my new "uniform" for work is skinny black pants, a flowy silky type shell, black 3/4 sleeve blazer, and long or short chunky necklace. And ballet flats.
I miss wearing dresses! But since I'm pumping twice a day while at work I can't wear them unless I wanna strip down all the way to pump!

@Sammyfab: i loooove my hunters! what color do you have? mine are yellow!

@mrs. wagon: i'm sorry, i just had the most hilarious visual!

@Mrs. Cowgirl: Seriously... pumping in just my control top tights and heels. Haha.

@mrs. wagon: oh my gosh, i had to do that once when i wore a dress.. it was so uncomfortable...

@krsmall: Hehe. I was thinking about getting shirtdresses so I could unbutton to pump., but they're just not flattering on me.

@Mrs. Cowgirl: mine are purple! The still have the white film on them though because I'm too lazy to clean them and I've had them for a couple of years. Do you have the welly socks? I want the cable-knit ones but don't want to shell out the money for boot socks!
blogger / nectarine / 2687 posts
@Sammyfab: nope! those suckers are crazy overpriced! they're socks!
but, i saw these at target and i think i'll pick them up on my next visit: http://www.target.com/p/womens-merona-rain-boot-liners-pink/-/A-13591952#?lnk=sc_qi_detailbutton

Huh... Well if I'm not working my uniform is pjs or yoga pants. Of its a Sunday I wear a maxi dress and cardigan to church. I love anything glittery and metallic. Not with the pjs lol.

Skinny jeans, long top, scarf. Flip flops or Toms, sometimes flats or heels. Or Uggs when it's cold!
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Jeans, black top, black sandals (all other shoes too small). It is seriously just about all that fits right now at 37 weeks pregnant and still looks reasonable to leave the house in.

M-F 7:30 to 4:15 i'm in skinny jeans, some type of flowy shirt or work shirt and sandals.
M-F 4:30 to morning i'm in PJ's which are soffee shorts and a tshirt. I cannot stand to be in clothes/jeans at home!

For the fall it is a variation of this:
Skinny jeans, keds, t-shirt, sweater or cardigan, and a long necklace.
coconut / 8681 posts
Leggings, a long tank and a long sweater with boots, a rose gold watch and dangly earrings. I used to be all about long necklaces but LO grabs them now sooooo they're out.

My look usually involves skinny jeans, a t shirt, and a CARDIGAN! I am all about cardigans and can't live w/o them.
nectarine / 2163 posts
Skinny jeans and a loose (nursing friendly) top with either chuck taylors or jandals (flip flops?)
I really want some nice leather knee high boots to add, but they don't seem to exist here!

skinnyish jeans (not tight on the ankle) t shirt and a jersey cardigan.

When I'm going out, it's always jeans + zip up hoodie or cardigan (@sweetchic: another cardigan lover here!!). At home - nursing tank with yoga pants
clementine / 889 posts
Boot cut jeans, a solid-colored long sleeve shirt, black down vest, and converse shoes.
For work I'll trade out jeans for a basic pair of slacks in black or brown, ditch the vest once I get to work, and opt for a slightly less casual pair of shoes.

Boot cut jeans, comfy flats, a long sleeve tee shirt and dangle earrings.

Fit & flare jeans (like 7 A-pockets), flip flops (unless its winter, then sneakers or boots), and a t shirt or simple vneck sweater.

For work: Dress Pants (black, grey, or brown) and some work appropriate top or tank with cardigan.
Home: T shirt!
blogger / nectarine / 2687 posts
@Thehistoryofus: just a tee? That's my favorite in the summer, but somehow, with a 3 year-old, I feel it's appropriate to wear something on the bottom!
admin / watermelon / 14210 posts
in the summer a dress + flip flops.
in the winter yoga pants, long sleeve shirt, uggs, puffy coat.
that's about as bummy as it gets.

Seems like a lot of y'all are wearing long sweaters-where in sam hill are y'all getting them?! I feel like everything is cropped this year-its driving my bonkers because I'm trying to hide my new momma muffin top (well, I'm trying not to buy any news jeans) and the cropped sweaters just wont cut it! All I want is something hits just below the hip! AAAGGGHH!!
blogger / nectarine / 2687 posts
@stiffaknee: gap has some good longer sweaters! This one is one of my faves (it's looser in person): http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=8998&vid=1&pid=245791012
Also, try sizing up. I usually wear a small, but got a few sweaters in a medium so they'd look baggier.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Mrs. Cowgirl: No, there is usually something on bottom too Jeans in the fall/winter and shorts in the summer!

Work: black pencil skirt, button down shirt, black pumps.
Home: yoga pants, cami, cardigan for inside the house. If leaving the house: skinny jeans or leggings with boots (leather riding boots or Uggs depending on how cold it is) or ballet flats, long sweater, sweater jacket.
