Today at the playground, a mom had her son pee in the street. My first thought was, dang must be an emergency. But then I noticed the playground bathroom was open.

Charlie sometimes asks if he can pee in the bushes. The first time he asked, I told him that only animals pee in the bushes. I regret that word choice because now when we see little kids peeing, he asks me, "Is he an animal?" I gotta come up with a better way to explain public peeing to him.

My take is: sometimes you just gotta go!! But if you can avoid the issue through planning or public bathrooms, that's my preference.
