So for lunch I just had to have nachos from a local fast food place, and now I'm sitting at my desk feeling disgusting and nauseous. I'm guessing I over did it and my stomach is upset.
Does this happen to anyone else? I should learn self control!

ugh yess.. I absolutely HATE fast food (like McD's, BK etc), but for some reason I craved a burger and fries while I was pregnant. And gave in. BAD DECISION. I was puking all night. I knew my body hates and literally rejects that food, but it was so strong. And I didn't even enjoy it lol it was disgusting to me.

@miss-spunkin: I'm not a fan of fast food either, I'm not sure why I thought this place was a good idea. I have boycotted it ever since it gave me food poisioning a year ago, but it is across the street from work. Ugh I hope this feeling goes away!

Yep! I generally avoid fast food, but during my first trimester, Taco Bell and McDonald's topped my lunch craving list. I really try not to overdo it, but I still have a hard time gauging when I should stop eating only because the almost comfortably full feeling changes to an OMGSTOPSOFULL feeling in a couple of minutes instead of being more gradual.

@MsLipGloss: I have a very hard time gauging my fullness, I feel like I either stop and then will be starving again 20 minutes later or I over eat and feel gorss all afternoon. It only happens at lunch too, dinner I'm fine! It's so weird.

@JessieJo17: Exactly! It's either I feel hungry again within 15 minutes or so, or I feel like I swallowed a watermelon. I have the opposite problem, i.e., with lunch versus dinner, I think because I generally work through lunch (and typing/ reading slows down the ingestion process), but I don't have the same stop-and-go process with dinner, so it hits me more quickly.

Now I want nachos. I always over do it when I go to McDonalds. I know I'll regret it later, and I still do it.

@jessiejo17: I did it last night!!!!
I was craving breakfast for dinner and I could not stop salivating thinking about a runny fried egg!
Well, I ended up making waffles with whipped cream and fresh fruit, turkey bacon, hashbrowns (with ketchup) AND fried eggs.
Seriously, I thought I was going to vomit afterward. SO. MUCH. FOOD.

@miss-spunkin: Wow, I have been craving burgers this whole pregnancy and I never ate red meat before. What is it about a burger that just sounds so satisfying? LOL

Unfortunately it seems like I can eat and eat and eat and not have a problem with not feeling well afterwards. Therefore, I just keep eating! Easter candy...pretty soon it will all be gone...

Yesterday I could not step away from the skittles and starbursts. I ate so many of them that I felt miserable last night and told my husband I was probably going to poop a rainbow. At the time I justified it as portion control since I never eat the yellow ones.

@mslipgloss: My husband did too. I figured I had tasted the rainbow so I would probably poop it later.

That happens to me alll the time--I'll be starving and something will sound SO good, so I'll gobble it down and then I feel sick to my stomach. I've found that trying to eat slowly and drinking lots of water while I eat is helpful.
