Just discovered that flu shots are already available for the 2015-2016 season!

I will get it this week, and work to get the kids shots at their next pediatrician wellness visit!

My work does them for free for all employees, so I'll get mine whenever they have the event!

Later this month - our pediatrician has the shot available for the baby, but not for the 3.5 year old yet. When that's ready in a few weeks I'll take them both. And will get mine at the same time.

Baby got her first dose a couple of weeks ago.
I'll get mine at work for free on 9/24.
Both kids will go get them at their ped on 10/6 (second dose for the baby).
DH will also get his for free at work when they offer it.

I won't be getting them for my kids and I'm only getting one for myself because it's mandatory but I'll get it after they stalk me about getting it.

My one year old already got her first one a few weeks ago. We go back first week of October for her booster. Hopefully they'll have flu shots for 3 year olds by then too.

Hoping to get it at my PP check up in a few weeks if my OB has them in stock! DH will probably get it at CVS or a pharmacy like that whenever they have them in stock. DS too little!

@yoursilverlining: Same here. Work gives them for free so whenever they come, is when I'll get mine.

My DH never gets his and it annoys me, I'm immuno compromised and we have a NB who can't get vaccinated this year so I'm going to work on him some more. DS and I will get it for sure. Normally I get it at work but I'm on maternity leave so I'll have to figure it out.

DS got his last week but needs to go back in the beginning of October for a booster. I'm getting mine next week (at work, for free). DH gets one for free through work but needs to go to a minute clinic-type place so who knows when he'll get around to doing that!

I'll ask my midwife about it at my apt this Friday, so whenever they have them I guess. Have to call and find out when I should bring LO to the ped office for hers since she isn't scheduled for a well visit until January or so.
@getjazzy: DH never gets his either even though it's free. This year I'm forcing it since we are having a baby in December. I had to twist his arm to get the pertussis vaccine when C was born. He isn't anti vaccine or anything, just lazy.

@Foodnerd81: My DH doesn't have a good reason either. He says "it'll make me sick" which I've tried countless times to explain its wrong and then he says "well, I've never had the flu before so I don't see a need". Ugh! Men!

Definitely getting one this year! I had swine flu last year and no one else in my house caught it because they all got the shot!

I have an appointment at the pharmacy to get mine on Monday. LO will get his at his pediatrician's flu shot clinic once they have it in stock.

I'll get mine at work when they're available (I'm an RN). The kids will each get theirs at their well-visits.

D got his a few weeks ago at his well-visit. I'll get mine when work offers it (I work in a hospital and we're required to get it).

Ack! Totally forgot about this being a thing. Will call tomorrow for me and the kiddos. DH works at a hospital so he's covered.
BTW, anyone know any buzz about the vaccine this year? Last year it was supposed to have a low efficacy..

Undecided. My last pregnancy I did and i got the flu. I got my lo 1 dose at 1 year and didn't complete it. Hubby and I got it 2 years ago, I was still bf-ing. Last season none if us got the shot and we all stayed flu free. I didn't feel like it was worth it after reading it wasnt very effective. I'm currently pregnant so I'm not sure what I'll decide. Hubby never got the flu, like ever!! until the same year he got the flu shot so he prob won't get it again. And I'm not sure if I'll give it to Lo this season.
