Oh my gosh! The first pic, and the one with the fox hat are so darling! I'd totally chuckle and think it was adorable if I got a card with a pic like the first one! It's just so sweet, real, and cute!

@FliegepilzHut: haha thats amazing! I think me and DH have pretty much 100% voted this as our christmas card. Our photographer added that photo just as a joke because it was so adorable, so i let her know thats what we chose for our christmas card and she had a good laugh about it.

I have a friend who's Christmas card was a picture of their son totally freaking out while on Santa's lap. The only word on it (other than their names) was Joy. My other friend didn't get any really good pictures of their 2 year old during their photo shoot so they picked one and the card said "you better not pout". Those have been my favorite cards!

I'm dying! I'm so torn between the pouty one and the fox one where he's grinning.
I know you're not local to me and prices vary a lot by region, but I was wondering if you'd feel comfortable sharing how much your session cost and what it included? We weren't going to get professional portraits done this year because of finances, but man...the different outfits, the props, the way the photographer captured your son's personality...it has me second-guessing our decision now.

@Skadi: Thank you! This was a christmas mini package our photographer offered, we've been using them since our wedding. it was a 30 minute package for $125. We paid a little more money (in a tip since they wouldn't accept more $ from us we've sort of become friends) and extended our session 20 minutes so we could get a family photo done as well. I would check out local photographers right now most of them will offer a christmas mini package. *i live in british columbia.*

@MrsHoneyC: Oh man, you are so lucky! The mini sessions in our area are $200+. (There are a handful of photographers who charge less, but their pictures are not very high quality.)
