I just started carrying LO on my hip last week and she is 4.5 months. She is a little wobbly at times, but getting better everyday, and it's so much easier to carry her this way!

around the same time. sometime in the 4th month. they got very steady and started really holding on well in the 5th month. i know i should switch hips for the sake of my back, but i always carry on my left side so I can use my right hand for chores.
