We actually didn't get a lot of questions in between them- we were open about planning on having another and people generally didn't ask when too much (aside from people I am close enough to actually want to talk about it with).

Now that we have two girls, I've gotten plenty of random people tell me we would have to try for a boy, but not many people we actually know. Again, the only people who have asked are people I don't mind it from, usually because they are in similar situations (like a friend who was on the fence about having a third of her second would have been a girl, for example).

after having a girl then a boy people rarely ask. i guess they assume since we have one of each we're done (and we are). occasionaly i'll get asked about a 3rd but usually from another mom who is in the same position.

When I was pregnant with our second boy, I got tons of comments about trying for a girl-a third kid. I said that two's our limit. The comments have become a lot less since he's here. I made it clear to some friends that we were done by giving away maternity clothes and whatever baby gear didn't travel with us to our new house.

When I tell them that DH got snipped

I'm a week away from having #3 and I get asked about #4 regularly, at least once a week.

@Anagram: yeah I make a point to say how glad I am that they have a sister now. But to be totally fair- DH DID want a boy and has floated the idea of trying for a third. Which I have shut down for now.

On the flip side, my mom had a boy, then girl, and when she was pregnant again she got loads of "but why would you want another? You already have a boy and a girl?" (I am that third pregnancy, thank you very much. )
