Was it earlier or later than with LO1? Did you announce before or after people started noticing your bump? I've always heard you show much quicker with LO2!

@Applesandbananas: Did I miss a HB announcement from you?????
I announced at the same time (~14 weeks) for LO2, but I was DEFINITELY showing earlier. A coworker asked me when I was due when I was only 8 weeks. But I wanted to wait until after our first ultrasound to announce anything, despite being obviously pregnant.

I think I was a week further along with #2 when I announced at work than with #1. Both times I waited for my NT scan before going public.

I wasn't working here last time, and haven't officially announced, although most people have guessed (and I have told a few, like my close coworkers, HR and my supervisor). I told them early for paperwork reasons (and because I was so sick. Like really early....right away for my close coworker friends, by 8 weeks for HR and my supervisor).
We told D's immediate family about the same time. We didn't go public on FB until around 17 weeks? I wasn't in a rush, and we wanted to wait until we knew the sex. I think we announced at 13 weeks with Ev.

Undetermined (#2 is still early)
#1 - 13 Weeks (after good first trimester screening results)
#2 - currently 10w - screening scheduled for 12w...will announce after then but I am starting to show - so people at work may know sooner!

#1 - told family & close friends at 10ish weeks, work at 12 weeks, FB at 26 weeks
#2 - told family and really close friends early, 6/7 weeks? Work at 13 weeks. FB - no announcement.

#1 - told family at 6 weeks after 1st appt and saw/heard heartbeat. Told my manager at 12 weeks after NT scan. Announced on FB at 16 or 18 weeks. Rest of coworkers kind of just found out when I was rocking a bump at 20 something weeks.
#2 - I'm planning on following the same schedule as #1, except for I'm telling my family this week at 8 weeks since I just had my 1st appt. However, I'm definitely showing sooner! Hoping I can conceal the bump at work for a few more weeks.

@Adira: lol no, we are talking about when to pull the goalie. We want to potty train LO before we start trying.

I had to tell work very early with #2 because of job duties. We told parents at 12ish weeks both times. I wasn't showing until much later with either pregnancy.

We announced after the NT scan both times, so right about 13 weeks. I wasn't showing in the slightest until around 24 weeks either time so I could have held off on announcing until after then, but I was too excited to wait!

i;ve done it differently. With LO1, we told immediate family right away and then i waited 3 months to tell close friends etc. then i waited until the anatomy scan to tell facebook.
with LO2, i've been telling anyone as i see them, close or not so close friends (so all my close friends have known for a while and i am only 14 weeks). and we told immediate family right away again. i haven't told all my coworkers yet (but a few know by accident), but after i tell my boss next week, i will tell the rest of them. i was waiting until after NT scan to tell my boss. I think i will wait to do facebook again until i know the gender at 20 weeks.

I told my two supervisors at work the week I found out since I needed several appointments with a week or so (diabetic). Family knew by 5 1/2 weeks. Church found out apps 6 1/2. Coworkers will know around 9ish.

#1 we told family and close friends at 13 weeks, then fb at around 28 weeks.
#2 I've been telling close friends as I see them, I told a few via text or fb message, anywhere from 5 weeks preg to now (10 weeks). We told ILs at 8 weeks and will wait until 12 weeks to tell my family. I suspect I'll announce on fb not long after 12 weeks. I'm more relaxed about it this time.

LO #1 we told immediate family at 7-8 weeks and everyone else at 14. There was a lot of drama about it so the second time I decided to wait and tell everyone at the same time - 12 weeks. It was right at Christmas and worked out well.

First time we announced to family right away and others around 10 weeks. Facebook official at 12 weeks. This time, we'd had 2 miscarriages in between so were a little more gun shy, but I was also showing very early. We told family right away again and then just others as the noticed. Facebook official at 15 or 16 weeks.

this time around - immediate family knew by 7 weeks, I haven't announced on facebook at all. Some cousins/aunts have found out recently - 25 weeks. I'm sure there will be family and friends who didn't know I was having a baby until after delivery.

For our second pregnancy we kept it secret from friends and family back home and only told friends where we live. But then we miscarried and it hurt my heart so much that my family had never celebrated the baby and only knew of its existence afterwards. So when we got pregnant with DS, I was adamant about telling my family straight away. DH felt strongly the other way, so we didn't tell his until we had a good 8 week ultrasound (he would have held out for 12 weeks if it had been up to him). Again, I told friends where I live early on.

DD2: told random people we saw at 6w, friends at 7/8 w, family around the same time (wanted to be in person), anyone we saw in person around 11 w, social media around 17/18 w

With DD1, we told our parents right away (within a week). We announced on social media at 10 weeks, only because my dad made an unprompted announcement at a very large social gathering and people started saying things on my facebook (thanks, dad).
With DD2, we also told our family right away... about 10 days after we found out. We announced on social media at 15 weeks.
With DD3, we didn't tell our family until I was 12 weeks along. It was a big shock and I was not ready to talk about it until then. We announced on social media at 16 weeks.

With DS, 13 weeks we told everyone.
With DD, we told my parents and BFFs right away. Everyone else we waited till 13 weeks.

#1: Told family right away at 4-6 weeks, friends gradually as I saw them, and FB at 16 weeks.
#2 (I'm 11 weeks so far) I told family right away again. Waited til after ultrasound at 10 weeks to tell most friends. Might post earlier on FB this time depending on announcement photo.
