We got our stroller in December and our car seat (registry gift) arrived today. I'm only 31 weeks, so it seems really early still to take them out of the boxes to set them up and stuff. I think I should check them to make sure everything works and learn how to to use them, but then they'll just be sitting there collecting dust right? I doubt we'd fit them back into their boxes.
When did you start setting up car seats and strollers?

I think that we are going to be putting ours together sometime around 35-36 weeks. I have no idea if that is late or early!

I bugged DH for weeks to do the car seat and put stuff together. We finally did it around 35/36 weeks.

we set them up right away and i'm glad we did because the stroller had a broken part that we had to get the manufacturer to send a new one of. then they sat at my in-laws house for months. and now they are in my house! yikes!

We got them around 28 weeks I think, and did it then because it was fun You never know when LO will come...never hurts to be extra prepared.

DH assembled the stroller a month before my EDD. We put the seat bases in our cars around the same time.

@birdofafeather: Yikes! That's my concern too. Having something wrong with them and then not realizing it. I guess we'll bust the boxes open this week!

@shopaholic: yeah and playing around with all the settings and stuff was good too. i feel more comfortable with them now although having a tiny human in there will probably freak me out all over again. ha.

We got them around 34 weeks and opened them right away. DH had a blast driving our UB Vista around our home and over furniture to test the suspension.

Sometimes they need to off-gas, too. We did ours during the last month of my pregnancy.

Stroller was given to us at the shower, and it was assembled (I had a "green" shower, with no wrapping or packaging) by my parents. They wanted to make sure everything was good with it.
The carseat we installed over the weekend. I'm almost 35 weeks.

We had the stroller out and ready to go much earlier than I would have liked, my MIL insisted on it. She came to paint the nursery in early January and my due date was March 6. She also insisted on putting everything together that we had, and I wasn't opposed to it. However, that made those last few weeks horrible! I remember flipping off all the baby stuff as I went through the house because I was so angry I was still pregnant ahahahahaha!

We assembled the stroller the day we bought it because we were so excited. The car seat will probably wait til we're packing hospital bags at ~36 weeks because we'll want to just install both bases then.

We will probably install our car seat and bases sometime after 35 weeks once we move. We are borrowing it from a friend, so just have to go and pick it up. We are borrowing the snap n frame stroller as well. DH wants the Bob SE as the everyday stroller, so unless we get it as a shower gift, we will hold off on getting it till she is a little bigger.
