How many weeks along were you when you purchased your nursery furniture? I am assuming that most people don't get cribs/changing tables/gliders etc. as shower gifts, right?
I'm only 16 weeks along but have the itch to start to purchasing soon. I am probably way ahead of myself!

My mom and grandpa bought our crib for us, and my IL's bought us our travel system. Those were shower presents. We bought our glider and changing table off of craigslist when I was around 21 weeks because we found a good deal.

I was 20 weeks when we bought our nursery furniture. Our crib ended up taking 10 to get here so I was really glad we ordered it when we did.

We bought our crib and mattress when I was about 16 weeks too. We had a GC for Amazon we wanted to use before the tax thing went into effect. I bought the dresser/changing table around 18 weeks because it was from CL - and even now at 33 weeks I'm still not done re-finishing it!

We found a crib and dresser/changer set that we really want. We're planning on buying it after the gender scan when I'm 19 weeks. (I'm just about 17 now). We have a coupon that expires mid February, so we're just going to wait til the last minute before it expires!

20ish weeks for us. I wanted to have everything purchased and assembled and in place before I got huge. It took about 8 weeks to get everything delivered, between the three stores we ordered from, so I was glad we started early.

I was 6 weeks along I think? lol! We found a wicked deal on a used furniture set that we would never have afforded if we bought it retail so we jumped at the chance.

we ordered a lil past the halfway point... i think 22 weeks? i'm glad we did because some of the items took over 2 months for delivery.

Our crib, mattress and rug are arriving this week and I'm almost 29 weeks. We're hoping to get the rest of he furniture (glider and dresser/changing table) in the next 2 weeks!

After LO was born, we bought the crib at around 7.5 months but pretty much everything else we got after LO was born, we got an armchair for his room when he was about 6 months.

As someone who is very pregnant and uncomfortable - it's never too early to start! I'm so glad I didn't save anything until the end. We started small purchases in the first trimester, and had al of our furniture purchased and assembled by 25 weeks. It's so much easier to shop, organize, and assemble early on!

We ordered her crib and dresser at 19 weeks. Honestly, I wasn't psyched about it (I would have been much more comfortable waiting until viability). But my MIL was in town and she was splitting the cost with us so we ordered it while she was here.

Maybe 21 weeks? I wasn't expecting us to buy it all on the same day but we found a set we liked.

We're definitely late in the game but we're not buying too much furniture for the nursery. We received our crib at about 28 weeks, but it was delivered and set up for us. We got a dresser a few weeks ago. I'm currently 31 weeks.
